A pay by phone casino bonus is a welcome offer claimed with a deposit charged to your mobile bill or paid through a phone wallet. None of our five partner casinos publishes phone-bill deposits, so the realistic phone routes are Apple Pay or Google Pay, which Coral and Ladbrokes list in their cashiers. 18+, terms apply.
None of Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo or 10bet lists phone-bill (carrier billing) deposits in its published payment information.
Apple Pay and Google Pay are listed at Coral and Ladbrokes and aren’t on either offer’s named exclusion list, but Coral also excludes ‘certain debit cards’, so check before depositing.
Since 19 January 2026 bonus wagering can’t exceed 10x the bonus, whichever way you pay.
A phone wallet charges the card behind it, so a credit card saved in the wallet still can’t be used to gamble in Great Britain.

Pay by phone casino bonus: the short answer
If you mean adding the deposit to your monthly mobile bill, no partner we cover currently publishes that option, so we can’t point you to a pay by phone casino bonus of that kind from Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo or 10bet. If you mean paying from your phone with a wallet app, the picture is better: Coral and Ladbrokes list both Apple Pay and Google Pay, and neither wallet appears on their named lists of excluded methods.
That second route is how most people in the UK now ‘pay by phone’. The money still comes from a debit card held in the wallet, so the deposit behaves like a debit card casino bonus payment in most cashiers. The details that decide whether you get the offer are the casino’s exclusion list, the qualifying deposit amount and the way the bonus is triggered. Our casino bonus payment methods hub covers every other method side by side.
What pay by phone means at a UK casino
The phrase covers two quite different payment types, and casinos treat them differently.
Phone-bill payments (carrier billing)
With carrier billing, the charge is added to a pay-monthly mobile bill or taken from pay-as-you-go credit, and you confirm it with a text or an on-screen code. Payment firms such as Boku sit between the merchant and the mobile networks. Boku describes itself on its product page (opens in a new tab) as a global network of local payment methods that includes direct carrier billing, and its list of group companies (opens in a new tab) names Boku Account Services UK Limited as an FCA-authorised electronic money institution (FRN 900030) and Boku Network Services UK Limited as the carrier billing company, with Ofcom listed as the regulator for premium rate services complaints.
Phone wallets (Apple Pay and Google Pay)
A wallet stores a token in place of your card number and asks you to approve each payment with Face ID, a fingerprint or a passcode. Nothing goes on your phone bill: the payment is taken from the card you added. That makes a wallet deposit far closer to a card deposit than to carrier billing, which is why it’s the route that usually fits a welcome offer.

Two cautions sit behind that table. First, Coral’s wording ‘certain debit cards’ isn’t explained in the key terms, and a wallet deposit is charged to a card, so read Coral’s full promotion terms or ask support before relying on it. Second, Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain), and their help centres apply a UK limit of three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days, so adding a wallet, a card and a bank payment in quick succession can fill that allowance. Our pages on Coral’s payment methods and Ladbrokes’ payment methods set out each cashier in full, and how payment exclusions work explains why casinos leave some methods out.
Using Apple Pay or Google Pay for a casino bonus on your phone
Apple’s Apple Pay page (opens in a new tab) explains that you confirm online payments on an Apple device, and Apple’s security overview says it doesn’t store your original card number and doesn’t charge fees for Apple Pay (your bank may charge for overseas use). Google says its wallet uses a randomly generated virtual card number and that a locked device can’t make purchases.
For a bonus, those security features matter less than one plain fact: the casino sees a payment from your card. That’s why the minimums, maximums and exclusions that apply to cards usually apply to the wallet too. At Coral and Ladbrokes the help centres publish a £5 minimum for Google Pay deposits and a £2,000 cap on any single UK deposit. Our separate guides to the Apple Pay casino bonus and Google Pay casino bonus go into each wallet, and Apple Pay vs Google Pay compares them directly.
Phone-bill casino deposits: the catches to know
Even at casinos that do take phone-bill payments, several features make them an awkward fit for a welcome offer.
Small amounts. Networks and payment firms cap carrier billing payments. We couldn’t verify a current figure, so check the cashier; a low cap can sit below an offer’s qualifying deposit.
Deposit only. A phone bill can’t usually receive money, so you would need a second method, such as a debit card or bank account, for withdrawals, and that second method has to pass verification.
Exclusion lists. Casinos often leave out methods that are costly to process or hard to trace back to a named account holder. Our prepaid card casino bonus guide explains the same logic for vouchers.
Paying later. A pay-monthly bill is settled after you’ve played, so it’s worth treating every phone-bill deposit as money already spent rather than a bill for later.
None of this makes carrier billing unsafe, but it does explain why it rarely appears on bonus-qualifying lists. If the reason you’re looking for it is that you don’t want to use a card, a phone wallet or Pay by Bank gives a similar tap-and-approve feel while drawing on your own current account.
What a phone-paid casino bonus is worth
Assuming your wallet deposit qualifies, the value of each partner offer doesn’t change with the payment method. Here are the published figures turned into pounds. Expected returns use a 96% return to player as an example; the RTP of each selected game is on its help screen, and any one session can land far above or below the average.

The wagering cost figure is simply the amount you must wager multiplied by the house edge. It’s an average, not a forecast: the bonus doesn’t change a game’s odds and losses are likely over time. For no-wagering spins, the free spins value guide shows how stake per spin turns into a pound figure.
How to claim a casino bonus paying by phone
These steps assume a phone wallet, since that’s the phone route our partners list.
Open the offer page from the casino’s promotions section and read the significant terms, especially the payment exclusions, minimum deposit and expiry.
Register with your real name, address and date of birth. Since May 2019 your age and identity must be verified before you can deposit or play, including demo games.
Set a deposit limit when the cashier prompts you. Since 31 October 2025 you’re asked to set a financial limit before your first deposit.
Choose Apple Pay or Google Pay in the cashier, check the card the wallet will charge is a debit card, and approve the payment on your phone.
Complete the qualifying step: a £10 slots bet at Coral, £10 spent on slots at Ladbrokes, or simply the first deposit of £10 or more at PlayOJO.
Accept or use the spins within the deadline: 48 hours to accept at Coral, before 23:59 each day at Ladbrokes, and check the Rewards section at PlayOJO.
Our general how to claim a casino bonus guide covers opt-ins and codes (none of our partners needs a promo code), and the mobile casino bonus page explains how app and browser claims differ.
Withdrawing after a pay by phone casino bonus
Both Coral and Ladbrokes run a closed-loop policy, which means winnings go back to the method you used where possible. Their help pages say Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the card that sits behind the wallet, with a £5 minimum withdrawal on that method, and that neither brand charges withdrawal fees. Their overall timeframe is internal approval followed by anything from instantly to five banking days depending on the method.
Casumo’s published table lists Apple Pay withdrawals as arriving instantly after approval, and its policy says withdrawals are approved or denied within 3 days, with a £3 fee on withdrawals under £10. PlayOJO says it processes most payments within a few hours and returns money to the deposit method where possible. 10bet publishes up to 2 business days for cards and e-wallets. For the wider picture, see how long withdrawals take after a bonus and our page on UK withdrawal rules.
Your own deposited money can be withdrawn while a bonus is active. The CMA’s 2018 undertakings and Gambling Commission guidance say wagering can’t be applied to your deposit balance.
Credit cards, phone wallets and the UK payment rules
UK-licensed casinos have been barred from taking credit card payments since 14 April 2020, under licence condition 6.1.2 on credit cards (opens in a new tab). The ban also covers credit card payments made through a money service business, so a wallet is no way round it: if the card stored in Apple Pay or Google Pay is a credit card, the deposit should be declined. HSBC, for example, blocks credit card gambling payments automatically. Our credit card ban explainer and the question can I use a credit card at a casino? cover the detail.
The bonus rules apply equally to every payment method. Wagering can’t exceed 10x the bonus since 19 January 2026 (see the 10x wagering cap), offers can’t mix casino and betting products, and an offer can’t be changed or made bigger because you hit the qualifying spend sooner than the offer period. Online slot stakes are capped at £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for 18 to 24 year olds, with any bonus max-bet rule sitting on top.
Is a pay by phone casino bonus worth chasing?
Advantages
Phone wallets are listed at all five partners in some form and aren’t on Coral’s or Ladbrokes’ named exclusion lists.
Wallet payments need Face ID, a fingerprint or a passcode, so a stolen phone alone can’t be used.
Coral and Ladbrokes publish a £5 minimum for Google Pay, below the £10 that their offers ask you to bet.
Drawbacks
Phone-bill deposits aren’t published by any partner, so true carrier billing offers aren’t available through us.
Coral’s exclusion of ‘certain debit cards’ is unexplained in the key terms and needs checking.
Tap-to-pay convenience can make deposits feel smaller than they are; a limit helps.
In short, the method you use matters only as far as it qualifies. A phone wallet that qualifies gives you exactly the same offer as a card. The is a casino bonus worth it? guide looks at the wider question of whether any bonus suits you.
Safer gambling when you pay from your phone
Paying in two taps is quick, and that speed is the main reason to set guard rails first. Every UK-licensed casino must offer deposit limits, and since 28 February 2025 operators run financial vulnerability checks when net deposits pass £150 in a rolling 30 days. Our guide to setting deposit limits walks through each partner’s settings.
Bank-level blocks are another layer. The Gambling Commission’s list of bank gambling blocks (opens in a new tab) names the banks that offer them, and HSBC says its debit card restriction also covers digital wallets. GAMSTOP excludes you from every UK-licensed online casino at once. If gambling stops being fun, the National Gambling Helpline is free and open 24/7 on 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare (opens in a new tab), and our safer gambling page lists NHS clinics and other support.
Where a pay by phone casino bonus comes closest
Because no partner publishes phone-bill deposits, the closest fit is a phone wallet deposit at Coral or Ladbrokes, where Apple Pay and Google Pay are both listed and neither is on the named exclusion list. Coral’s offer is 100 free spins after you deposit and bet £10 on slots: 10p each on selected games, 48 hours to accept, valid 7 days, no wagering on winnings, running from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Check the ‘certain debit cards’ exclusion first.
Ladbrokes’ offer gives 50 free spins a day for 10 days (up to 500) after you deposit and spend £10 on slots: 10p each on selected games, claim before 23:59 each day, valid 7 days, no wagering. One person may not be able to hold new accounts at both sister brands; check the terms. PlayOJO names Apple Pay on its help page and gives 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza (10p each, no wagering) on a first deposit of £10 or more, excluding Northern Ireland. All offers are for new customers aged 18+ and terms apply.
None of these partners publishes phone-bill deposits; Coral and Ladbrokes list Apple Pay and Google Pay, and PlayOJO names Apple Pay. 18+, new customers, terms apply: check each offer’s payment exclusions before you deposit.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a casino bonus by paying with my phone bill?
Not through any of our five partner casinos at present. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet don’t publish phone-bill (carrier billing) deposits, so a pay by phone casino bonus of that kind isn’t something we can point you to. Some casinos elsewhere take carrier billing, but they often exclude it from welcome offers or cap the amount below the qualifying deposit. If paying with your phone is the aim, a phone wallet is the practical route. See our Apple Pay casino bonus guide for how wallet deposits are treated.
Does Apple Pay count as pay by phone for a casino bonus?
In everyday language yes, though the casino treats it as a card payment. Apple Pay charges the debit card you’ve added, so the qualifying rules for cards usually apply. Coral and Ladbrokes list Apple Pay and don’t name it in their exclusions, though Coral also excludes ‘certain debit cards’ without saying which. PlayOJO names Apple Pay on its help page, and Casumo lists it in its deposit methods. Always read the offer’s payment line before you approve the deposit, and see our Coral payment methods page for that cashier.
Is Google Pay accepted for the Coral and Ladbrokes free spins?
Google Pay is listed as a deposit method at both, with a published £5 minimum, and it isn’t among the methods each offer names as excluded. Coral’s offer needs you to deposit and then bet £10 on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each; Ladbrokes needs £10 spent on slots for up to 500 spins over 10 days. Coral’s ‘certain debit cards’ exclusion is the one line to check, since Google Pay draws on a card. Our Google Pay casino bonus page covers the wallet in more detail. 18+, terms apply.
Why do casinos exclude some payment methods from bonuses?
Casinos usually exclude methods that are costly to process, harder to link to a verified account holder, or historically linked to bonus misuse. That’s why e-wallets and prepaid vouchers appear on Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ exclusion lists. The exclusion has to be shown as a significant term near the offer, not buried in general terms. If you deposit with an excluded method, the offer simply won’t trigger, even though the deposit itself goes through. Our guide on how payment exclusions work gives examples, and the e-wallet casino bonus page covers wallets in particular.
Can I withdraw winnings to my phone bill?
Usually not: carrier billing generally works one way, so a casino that accepts it needs a second method, such as a debit card or bank account, for your withdrawals. That second method must be in your name and pass the casino’s checks. With phone wallets it’s different. Both Entain brands say Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the card behind the wallet, and Casumo lists Apple Pay withdrawals as arriving instantly after approval. See how long withdrawals take after a bonus for timings at each partner.
Can I use a credit card in Apple Pay or Google Pay to gamble?
No. UK-licensed casinos can’t accept credit card payments for gambling, a rule in force since 14 April 2020 that also covers credit card payments made through a money service business. A wallet only passes on the card you’ve stored, so a credit card in Apple Pay or Google Pay is still a credit card payment and should be refused. Make sure the card your wallet defaults to is a debit card before you deposit. Our credit card ban page explains the rule and its background.
What is the minimum deposit for a pay by phone casino bonus?
It depends on the offer, not the phone. PlayOJO’s 80 spins need a first deposit of at least £10, Casumo’s 50% bonus needs £20, and Coral and Ladbrokes ask you to bet or spend £10 on slots after depositing. A £5 minimum is published for Google Pay deposits at Coral and Ladbrokes, but a £5 deposit wouldn’t cover the £10 qualifying spend on its own. 10bet doesn’t publish a general minimum. Our minimum deposit entry explains the difference between a cashier minimum and an offer’s qualifying amount.
Does the 10x wagering cap apply to phone deposits?
Yes. Since 19 January 2026 no casino bonus offered by a UK-licensed operator may require more than 10 times the bonus in wagering, and that applies whatever payment method triggers it. Casumo’s 10x and 10bet’s 10x already sit at the cap, while Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO spins carry no wagering on winnings. A £25 10bet bonus at 10x means £250 of slot wagering within 3 days, which costs about £10 on average at a 4% house edge. See wagering requirements explained for more worked examples.
Are phone-bill casino deposits safe?
The payment firms involved are regulated: Boku’s UK e-money company is FCA-authorised, and Ofcom is listed for premium rate services complaints. The bigger risk is about spending rather than security. Small taps add up, and a pay-monthly bill arrives after the money has gone. Set a deposit limit at the casino, consider a bank gambling block, and stick to UK-licensed casinos so complaints can go to an approved dispute service. Our safer gambling page lists support, including the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
Can I use pay by phone at both Coral and Ladbrokes?
You can add a phone wallet at either, but claiming both welcome offers may not be possible. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, part of Entain, so the terms may stop one person holding new-customer offers at both brands. Their help centres also apply a UK limit of three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days. Read each offer’s eligibility line before registering, and see our page on sister site bonus rules for how shared ownership affects welcome offers.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Visit GamCare.org.uk and GamCare, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
