Coral payment methods for the bonus

Coral payment methods for the bonus come down to one rule: deposit with a method the offer accepts, or the 100 spins won't follow your £10 slots bet. The terms exclude Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards, which leaves most debit cards as the main route. Here's every method, what it means for the offer and how you'd be paid out. 18+, terms apply.

Key takeaways

  • Most debit cards qualify for Coral's welcome spins; 'certain debit cards' don't, so check yours.
  • PayPal, Paysafe (paysafecard), Skrill, Neteller and prepaid cards are excluded from the offer.
  • Coral accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank, but they're not named either way in the headline terms.
  • Coral allows 3 active payment methods in a rolling 30 days, so an excluded method uses up one of them.
  • Withdrawals generally return to a method you deposited with; Visa Fast Funds has the quickest published time.

Coral payment methods for the bonus: which ones qualify

The welcome deal covered on our Coral casino bonus page is 100 free spins at 10p after you deposit and bet £10 or more on slots. The deposit step has a condition attached: 'certain types excluded'. The offer terms name Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards as non-qualifying.

Coral's help centre lists the methods it accepts generally: Visa, Mastercard and Maestro debit cards, PayPal, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay and paysafecard (through a paysafecard account, not vouchers), with Fast Bank Transfer available for withdrawals only. Put the two lists together and a debit card is the clearest qualifying route. Three methods sit in a grey area, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank: accepted for deposits, not named in the headline exclusions, so the full terms or Coral's support should confirm them before you rely on them.

For a method-by-method look at UK casinos generally, our casino bonus payment methods hub compares how each one is treated across welcome offers.

Debit cards: the main qualifying route at Coral

A Visa, Mastercard or Maestro debit card is the method least likely to cause trouble with the offer. The caveat is the phrase 'certain debit cards', which the headline terms don't explain. Casinos often use that wording for cards that behave like prepaid products, so if your card came from a prepaid or e-money provider, ask Coral before you deposit. Our debit card casino bonus page goes into how card exclusions are usually applied.

Cards also give the quickest published payout at Coral. Visa Fast Funds withdrawals are typically approved within a couple of hours and then typically reach your bank within 4 hours, though payouts over £2,000 take longer. Coral says it charges no withdrawal fees. The Coral withdrawal time page has the full breakdown.

PayPal, Skrill and Neteller: why they don't qualify at Coral

All three e-wallets are named in Coral's exclusions, and the same pattern appears at Ladbrokes and, for Skrill and Neteller, at 10bet. Casinos rarely publish their reasons, but e-wallets make it easier to move money between many accounts, which raises the risk of the same person claiming a welcome offer more than once. Our explainer on why PayPal deposits are excluded sets out the usual reasoning, and the page on Skrill and Neteller casino bonuses covers both wallets.

You can still use PayPal at Coral for ordinary deposits once the welcome offer is done, and a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months lets you withdraw to PayPal. Skrill and Neteller don't appear on Coral's help centre at all, so don't assume they're available. The wider PayPal casino bonus page shows which welcome offers do accept PayPal.

paysafecard and prepaid cards at Coral

Coral accepts paysafecard through a paysafecard account rather than one-off vouchers, and you can withdraw to it if you've deposited with it before. For the welcome offer, though, 'Paysafe' is on the excluded list, and so are prepaid cards in general. A prepaid deposit followed by a £10 slots bet would give you no spins.

Our pages on paysafecard casino bonuses and prepaid card casino bonuses explain how these methods are treated across UK offers, and is paysafecard excluded from bonuses answers the short version.

Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank: check before you deposit

These three are the grey area. Coral accepts all of them, and its help pages for Google Pay (opens in a new tab) and Pay by Bank (opens in a new tab) give a £5 minimum deposit. None of them appears in the offer's headline exclusions, but 'certain types excluded' leaves room for more in the full terms. Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the card behind your Google Pay wallet, which matters if that card is itself one of the excluded types.

Our guides to Apple Pay casino bonuses, Google Pay casino bonuses and Pay by Bank casino bonuses look at how each is treated by other UK casinos.

Worked example: picking a method for the Coral bonus

Take a new player with a Visa debit card, a PayPal account and Google Pay on their phone, who wants the welcome spins:

  1. Rule out PayPal: it's on the excluded list, so depositing with it would mean no spins.
  2. Weigh Google Pay: accepted from £5, but not named either way in the headline terms, and payouts go to the card underneath. Without confirmation from Coral, it's a risk.
  3. Choose the Visa debit card: it qualifies unless it's one of the 'certain' excluded cards, and it supports the fastest published payout route.
  4. Deposit £10 by card, then bet £10 or more on slots.
  5. Accept the 100 spins at 10p (£10 in total) within 48 hours and use them within 7 days.
  6. Withdraw any winnings, which carry no wagering, back to the same card.

At a 96% RTP, the £10 qualifying bet costs about 40p on average and the spins return about £9.60, but individual sessions vary widely. A different choice of method doesn't change these numbers; it only decides whether the spins arrive. Our guide on how to choose a payment method for a bonus applies the same thinking to any casino.

Coral payment rules that affect the bonus

  • Three active methods: Coral allows up to 3 active payment methods in a rolling 30 days. Depositing first with an excluded method uses up one of them.
  • £2,000 cap: a single UK deposit can't exceed £2,000, according to Coral's deposit methods help page (opens in a new tab).
  • Own name: Coral's deposit rules require payment methods in your own name, so a partner's or relative's card isn't an option.
  • Closed loop: withdrawals generally go back to a method you deposited with.
  • No credit cards: the Gambling Commission's licence condition on credit cards (opens in a new tab) has banned credit card gambling since 14 April 2020, including e-wallets loaded by credit card. See our page on the credit card ban.

The broader logic of why these restrictions exist is covered in how payment exclusions work.

Payment tools that help you stay in control at Coral

The way you pay can also help you keep gambling in proportion. Since 31 October 2025, Coral must prompt you to set a deposit limit before your first deposit, and limits you set apply across every method. Many UK banks and card providers let you block gambling transactions in their app, which stops card deposits to any casino. For a stronger step, GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab) lets you self-exclude from all GB-licensed gambling sites for six months to five years.

Coral's offer and the closest alternative for card users

Coral's welcome offer is for new players aged 18+, terms apply: deposit with a qualifying method (not Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards or certain debit cards), bet at least £10 on slots, then accept 100 free spins at 10p within 48 hours and play them within 7 days on selected games. Winnings carry no wagering. The full claim process is on the Coral free spins page.

Ladbrokes, Coral's sister brand, has an almost identical exclusion list (prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers) and offers new customers aged 18+ 50 spins at 10p a day for 10 days, up to 500, after a £10 slots spend, with no wagering, claimed by 23:59 each day and valid 7 days. Our Ladbrokes payment methods page covers it. Both brands share an operator, so check the terms if you hold an account with either.

Both offers below exclude PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, Neteller and prepaid cards, so a qualifying debit card is the usual way in. 18+, new customers, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

Which payment methods qualify for the Coral bonus?

Debit cards are the main qualifying method, except for 'certain debit cards' that the terms exclude. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill and prepaid cards don't qualify. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank are accepted by Coral but aren't named either way in the headline terms, so confirm them with Coral before using them for the offer. Credit cards can't be used at all. Our Coral bonus terms and conditions page reads the payment clause alongside the rest of the offer.

Can I use PayPal for the Coral welcome offer?

No. PayPal is named in the offer's excluded methods, so a PayPal deposit followed by a £10 slots bet won't trigger the 100 spins. You can still use PayPal for later deposits at Coral, and you can withdraw to PayPal if you've deposited with it in the last 6 months. If you want to use PayPal for a welcome deal, compare the terms of other casinos first. Our page on PayPal vs debit card bonuses compares the two routes.

Does Apple Pay count for Coral's free spins?

We can't confirm it either way. Coral accepts Apple Pay for deposits, and Apple Pay isn't named in the offer's headline exclusions, but the terms also say 'certain types excluded'. The safest approach is to ask Coral's support before depositing and keep their answer, or use a qualifying debit card directly. Remember the card behind your Apple Pay wallet matters too. Our Apple Pay vs Google Pay bonus page looks at how casinos treat both wallets.

Why does Coral exclude e-wallets from its bonus?

Coral doesn't publish its reasons, but e-wallet exclusions are common across UK welcome offers. E-wallets can make it easier to fund several accounts from one source, so operators restrict them to limit repeat claims of new-customer offers. It isn't a judgement on the wallets' safety. Coral still accepts PayPal for ordinary deposits and withdrawals. For a general explanation of how these clauses work, see our guide to how payment exclusions work.

What happens if I deposit with an excluded method by mistake?

The spins won't be credited for that deposit, even if you go on to bet £10 on slots. It also uses up one of the 3 active payment methods Coral allows in a rolling 30 days. Contact Coral's support to ask whether a later qualifying deposit can still trigger the offer; the terms we checked don't say. Don't open a second account to try again, as that breaks the terms. Our page on why a bonus might not be credited explains your options.

Can I use a credit card at Coral?

No. Credit card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020 under a Gambling Commission licence condition, and the ban extends to e-wallets topped up by credit card. Coral doesn't accept credit cards. If you find yourself wanting to borrow money to gamble, that's a strong signal to pause and talk to someone; the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133. Our credit card ban page explains the rule in full.

How many payment methods can I use at Coral?

Up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30-day period, according to Coral's help centre. That limit is worth keeping in mind when you're claiming the welcome offer: if you start with an excluded method such as PayPal and then switch to a card, you've already used two of your three. Choosing a qualifying debit card first keeps things simple. Our guide on how to choose a payment method for a bonus offers a general checklist.

Which Coral payment method pays out fastest?

Visa Fast Funds has the quickest published timeframe: approval typically within a couple of hours, then typically up to 4 hours to reach your bank, with payouts over £2,000 taking longer. Fast Bank Transfer takes 2 to 4 business days after approval. Coral doesn't publish times for PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Pay by Bank. Coral charges no withdrawal fees on any of them. Our Coral withdrawal time page gives worked timelines.

Is Pay by Bank the same as Trustly at Coral?

No. Coral's Pay by Bank service is listed in its help centre as provided through TrueLayer, not Trustly. It lets you pay directly from your bank account with a £5 minimum deposit, and you can withdraw through it too. Whether it qualifies for the welcome spins isn't stated in the headline exclusions, so check with Coral before using it for the offer. Our comparison of Trustly vs Pay by Bank explains the difference between the two services.

Can I block gambling payments at my bank?

Yes, many UK banks and card providers offer a gambling block in their app or by request, which stops card payments to gambling sites, including Coral. You can combine a bank block with deposit limits at Coral and self-exclusion through GAMSTOP for wider cover. Blocks and limits work best set up at a calm moment, not mid-session, and none of them costs anything to use. Our guide on how to self-exclude explains how these tools fit together.
