A Pay by Bank casino bonus is a welcome offer claimed by paying straight from your bank account, and at Coral and Ladbrokes Pay by Bank isn't on either offer's excluded list. Both casinos take Pay by Bank deposits from £5, but their free spins need £10 staked on slots, so a £5 payment alone won't qualify.
Coral and Ladbrokes offer Pay by Bank (through TrueLayer) and don't name it as excluded from their welcome offers.
The published Pay by Bank minimum is £5, but both offers need £10 or more staked on slots.
PlayOJO and Casumo take Trustly, another pay-by-bank provider; neither names it as excluded.
Card-based bank gambling blocks may not catch bank payments, so use deposit limits too.
18+ and full terms apply; paying by bank doesn't change a game's house edge.

Does Pay by Bank qualify for a casino bonus?
At our partners it does, on the terms we checked. Coral's exclusion list covers Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards; Ladbrokes' covers prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers. Pay by Bank appears on neither, and both casinos list it as a deposit method in their help centres.
Open banking payments, usually branded Pay by Bank, mean approving a payment from your current account inside your own banking app, with no card number involved. TrueLayer provides it at Coral and Ladbrokes. Trustly is another provider offering the same kind of payment at PlayOJO and Casumo; our Trustly casino bonus page looks at that brand specifically, and Trustly vs Pay by Bank sets the two side by side.

The £5 Pay by Bank minimum vs the £10 offer requirement
Coral's Pay by Bank FAQ (opens in a new tab) and its Ladbrokes equivalent give £5 as the minimum deposit for this method. That's lower than the offer threshold: both welcome offers need you to deposit and then stake £10 or more on slots. A £5 deposit can be spent, but it won't release any spins.

Two £5 payments also count towards your casino deposit limit like any other deposits. If you've set a £10 weekly limit, as the cashier prompt encourages you to consider, there's no room left for a second top-up. Our page on the minimum deposit for a bonus compares thresholds across offers.
How a Pay by Bank casino deposit works
Open banking connects your bank account to the merchant for a single, approved payment. You sign in with your existing online banking details or biometrics, and Trustly's description of the service says funds move in real time. The casino never sees your card or bank login.
Register at the casino, pass age and identity checks and set a deposit limit at the prompt.
Read the offer terms and confirm Pay by Bank isn't excluded and how much you must stake.
At the cashier, choose Pay by Bank and enter at least £10 if you want the welcome offer.
Pick your bank from the list; you're passed to your banking app or website.
Approve the payment with your usual login, fingerprint or face recognition.
Return to the casino, where the deposit should show straight away.
Stake £10 on slots (Coral and Ladbrokes), then accept the spins within the deadline: 48 hours at Coral, before 23:59 each day at Ladbrokes.
Coral and Ladbrokes allow up to 3 active payment methods per rolling 30 days for UK customers. Adding Pay by Bank after a card counts as a second method.
What a Pay by Bank casino bonus is worth
The values below assume a £10 Pay by Bank deposit (or Trustly at PlayOJO) and a 96% RTP for the Coral and Ladbrokes spins, since the selected games vary. These are averages over many spins, not a prediction of what you'll get. Losing the qualifying stake is always possible.

All three are no wagering offers, so the winnings are yours to withdraw. Before the spins arrive, though, the £10 qualifying stake at Coral or Ladbrokes costs about 40p on average at a 4% house edge, and a lot more in a bad session. Our free spins value guide goes deeper into these numbers.
Withdrawals after a Pay by Bank casino bonus
Both casinos list Pay by Bank as a withdrawal method as well as a deposit method, and they also offer Fast Bank Transfer, which is withdrawal-only. Ladbrokes' Fast Bank Transfer page (opens in a new tab) gives a £5 minimum and 2–4 business days once approved. Neither casino charges withdrawal fees.

Because the welcome offers here have no wagering, spin winnings can be withdrawn once credited. If a withdrawal seems slow, pending withdrawal explains the internal review stage, and the withdrawal rules page sets out your right to be paid without unreasonable delay.
Pay by Bank and gaps in bank gambling blocks
This is the most important safety point on the page. Many bank gambling blocks look at card transactions, and a Pay by Bank payment isn't one. Lloyds says its gambling freeze (opens in a new tab) blocks payments to gambling merchants but not direct debits or bank transfers, and Revolut says its block doesn't affect bank transfers or third-party apps. In contrast, the Commission's list notes that HSBC's restriction includes the Pay by Bank app.
So if you rely on a block, don't assume it covers bank payments; ask your bank. Check the Commission's list of banks offering gambling blocks (opens in a new tab), and add a casino deposit limit and GAMSTOP for cover that doesn't depend on payment type. Help is free on the National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133.
Pay by Bank, credit and your current account
Paying by bank draws on your current account, so it isn't a credit card payment and the credit card ban of 14 April 2020 doesn't block it. The Commission's pages we checked don't say whether overdraft funds are treated differently, so we don't offer a view. What matters for you is affordability: a bonus never makes gambling cheaper over time, and since 28 February 2025 operators must run financial vulnerability checks when net deposits pass £150 in 30 days. Our financial vulnerability checks page explains how those work.
Pay by Bank vs cards and e-wallets for a bonus
For a welcome offer at Coral or Ladbrokes, Pay by Bank sits with debit cards on the qualifying side, while PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard sit on the excluded side. The main differences from a card are the lower £5 minimum and that card-based bank blocks may not apply. Compare with debit card casino bonuses, PayPal casino bonuses and bank transfer casino bonuses.
Where to use a Pay by Bank casino bonus
The most direct fit is Coral or Ladbrokes, because both offer Pay by Bank and neither excludes it. Coral suits someone who wants one batch of 100 spins; Ladbrokes suits someone happy to log in on 10 separate days for up to 500. PlayOJO takes Trustly bank payments and lists no payment exclusions, with 80 spins on the first deposit.
Coral: 18+, new players, 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10+ on slots for 100 free spins at 10p on selected games; accept within 48 hours, valid 7 days, no wagering on winnings.
Ladbrokes: 18+, new customers, until further notice. Deposit and spend £10+ on slots for 50 free spins a day for 10 days (max 500) at 10p on selected games; claim by 23:59 daily, valid 7 days, no wagering.
PlayOJO: 18+, new UK customers (not Northern Ireland). £10+ first deposit for 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p; no wagering, winnings in cash; designated offer link only.
Coral and Ladbrokes accept Pay by Bank and don't list it as excluded; PlayOJO takes Trustly bank payments and names no exclusions. 18+, new customers, full terms apply, and the spin offers need £10 on slots.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.
Significant terms: 18+. New players only. Offer runs 01/10/2026 to 01/02/2027. Frequently asked questions
Can I claim Coral's free spins with Pay by Bank?
Yes, on the terms we checked, Pay by Bank isn't among the deposit types Coral excludes from its 100 free spins offer. You need to deposit and then stake at least £10 on slots, even though Coral's Pay by Bank minimum is £5. The spins are 10p each on selected games, must be accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. See Coral payment methods for the rest of Coral's cashier.
Does Ladbrokes accept Pay by Bank for its welcome offer?
Yes, Ladbrokes lists Pay by Bank as a deposit method and it isn't on the offer's excluded list, which covers prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers. After you deposit and spend £10 on slots, you get 50 free spins a day for 10 days, up to 500, claimed before 23:59 each day. The Ladbrokes payment methods page covers limits and withdrawal routes.
Is a £5 Pay by Bank deposit enough for a bonus?
No, not for any of our partners' welcome offers. Coral and Ladbrokes accept £5 Pay by Bank deposits, but their offers need £10 or more staked on slots, and PlayOJO's offer needs a £10 first deposit. A £5 deposit is fine for normal play but won't release any spins. Our £5 deposit bonus page explains why £5 offers are rare and what the gap to £10 means.
Is Pay by Bank the same as Trustly?
They're the same kind of payment from different providers. Pay by Bank is the general name for open banking payments approved in your banking app; Trustly is one company that provides them, and TrueLayer is another. Coral and Ladbrokes use TrueLayer, while PlayOJO and Casumo list Trustly. For bonus purposes, what matters is the name the casino uses in its terms. See Trustly casino bonus for that provider in detail.
How quickly does a Pay by Bank deposit arrive?
Usually straight away. Trustly's description of Pay by Bank says funds move in real time, and you approve the payment in your own banking app before returning to the casino. If a deposit doesn't appear, don't pay again by another method until support has checked, because some offers depend on your first deposit. PlayOJO notes that some methods can take up to 3 working days. Our page on why bonuses aren't credited lists other causes.
Can I withdraw casino winnings by Pay by Bank?
At Coral and Ladbrokes, yes: both list Pay by Bank for withdrawals, and both also offer Fast Bank Transfer, a withdrawal-only route with a £5 minimum that takes 2–4 business days once approved. Neither charges withdrawal fees. Other casinos may pay bank withdrawals by standard transfer, such as Casumo (up to 5 days) and 10bet (up to 3 business days). See how long withdrawals take after a bonus.
Will my bank's gambling block stop Pay by Bank deposits?
Possibly not, so check with your bank. Lloyds says its gambling freeze doesn't cover direct debits or bank transfers, and Revolut says its block doesn't affect bank transfers or third-party apps. The Gambling Commission's list notes that HSBC's restriction includes the Pay by Bank app. If you want firm protection, use a casino deposit limit and GAMSTOP as well. The Monzo casino bonus page covers another bank's approach.
Is Pay by Bank safe for casino payments?
It's designed to be secure: you approve each payment in your own bank's app or website with your usual login or biometrics, and the casino never receives your card number or banking password. Trustly, for example, says it never stores bank login details. As with any method, only pay licensed casinos; you can check a licence on the Gambling Commission's public register. Our licence check guide shows how.
Does Pay by Bank count towards my deposit limit?
Yes, every Pay by Bank deposit counts towards the deposit limit on your casino account, exactly like a card payment. Since 31 October 2025, casinos must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit, and a decrease takes effect at once. Low Pay by Bank minimums make small repeated top-ups easy, so a limit is a useful check. Read how to set deposit limits for the steps.
Which casino is best for a Pay by Bank casino bonus?
The closest fit is Coral or Ladbrokes, because both offer Pay by Bank directly and neither excludes it from its welcome offer. Coral gives 100 free spins after a £10 slots bet; Ladbrokes gives up to 500 over 10 days. PlayOJO is an option if you're happy to pay through Trustly. None of them changes the odds of the games, and 18+ and full terms apply. Compare them on Coral vs Ladbrokes bonus.
