A Slingo bonus is a casino offer you can use on Slingo games, the slot-and-bingo hybrids where spinning reels mark numbers on a grid. None of our partners has a Slingo welcome offer in October 2026, and slot offers don't automatically cover Slingo. This guide explains free Slingo games, the extra-spin costs they leave out, and how wagering applies.
No partner runs a Slingo bonus; check whether Slingo even counts towards a slot offer's qualifying bet.
Free Slingo games usually cover the base stake only; extra spins bought at the end of a game come from your balance.
Slingo weighting varies: some offers count it like slots, others reduce or exclude it.
The 10x wagering cap from 19 January 2026 applies to any Slingo bonus funds.

What a Slingo bonus is
Slingo combines a bingo-style number grid with a row of slot-style reels. A Slingo bonus is a promotion you can spend on those games. In the UK it usually takes one of two shapes: a set of free Slingo games at a fixed stake after a qualifying deposit or bet, or bonus funds whose terms include Slingo among the eligible games.
Because Slingo sits between two product types, it's often treated differently from both. Slot offers may not count it, and bingo bonuses usually apply to bingo rooms rather than Slingo. That's why checking which category a casino puts Slingo in is the first step with any offer. This page is part of our casino bonuses by game section.
Slingo bonus offers at our partner casinos
None of our five partners offers a Slingo bonus, as of our 5 October 2026 check. Their welcome offers are slot-based or slot-weighted, so here's how Slingo relates to each:

The qualifying bet point matters most. If an offer says "bet £10 on slots" and the casino files Slingo under a separate category, £10 spent on Slingo might not trigger the spins. Our bet £10 get free spins page explains how those qualifying bets usually work.
How Slingo works: the parts that affect a bonus
Most Slingo games follow a similar pattern, though each game's help screen has the exact rules:
You pay a stake for a game, which gives you a set number of standard spins.
Each spin lands numbers on the reels; matching numbers in the grid column above are marked off.
Special symbols, such as jokers, let you mark a number of your choice, while others can block a reel or affect your prize.
Completed lines move you up a prize ladder; the more lines, the higher the payout at the end of the game.
When the standard spins run out, you're usually offered extra spins at a price that changes depending on how close you are to the next prize level.
That last step is what sets Slingo apart for bonus purposes. The base stake buys the game, but each extra spin is an additional stake inside the same game. A bonus that pays for the game may not pay for the extras.
Extra spins: what a free Slingo game often doesn't cover
Free Slingo games are typically credited at a fixed base stake. If you choose to buy extra spins at the end, the cost usually comes from your cash or bonus balance. Here's an illustration using made-up prices, since real ones vary by game and position:

You never have to buy extra spins; you can end the game and collect what you've won. The point is that the headline "10 free Slingo games" describes the base stakes only. If the terms say extra spins can't be bought with bonus funds, or count differently towards wagering, that's a significant term and should be shown clearly with the offer, as the ASA's guidance on promotional terms and conditions (opens in a new tab) explains.
Slingo bonus maths with worked examples
Slingo games publish an RTP in their help screen, and some explain how extra spins are treated in that figure. The examples here use an illustrative 95% RTP for the base game; use the real figure for the game you'd play.

Below zero on average
At 25% weighting, £800 of stakes at a 5% edge costs about £40 on average, double the bonus, so the funds are likely to run out first. All of these are long-run averages; a single game can pay far more or nothing at all, and a bonus never changes a game's odds. Our RTP explainer covers how the percentage is set.
Slingo game weighting and what UK offers often exclude
There's no standard contribution percentage for Slingo. Some casinos count it in full like slots; others list it at a reduced rate or exclude it from bonus play. You'll see it under headings like "Slingo", "bingo-style games" or "other games". Our game weighting guide explains how to read those tables.
Terms that commonly affect Slingo bonuses:
Exclusion of Slingo from the games that clear wagering, or from the qualifying bet;
Rules on buying extra spins with bonus funds;
A max bet with an active bonus, which may apply to the base stake and to extra spins; see our max bet guide;
Expiry, which matters because a full Slingo game with extras takes longer than a single slot spin;
Excluded payment methods for the qualifying deposit.
UK rules and Slingo bonuses: does Slingo count as a slot?
The Gambling Commission's online slots stake limit guidance (opens in a new tab) defines an online slot as a reel-based casino game played online, and describes a reel-based game as one using reels or similar visual means to show changing symbols that decide a prize. It doesn't name Slingo. Slingo does use a reel row, so check the stake range the casino applies. Where a casino treats a Slingo game as a slot, the guidance says further stakes within the same game cycle count towards the £5 (25+) or £2 (18–24) limit, which is relevant to extra spins.

Slingo bonus or slot free spins: which suits you?
Advantages
Free Slingo games give a longer game per credit than one slot spin
No-wagering free games turn winnings straight into cash
Choosing whether to buy extra spins keeps you in control of the cost
Drawbacks
Free games usually cover the base stake only, not extra spins
Weighting and qualifying rules for Slingo are less predictable than for slots
Extra-spin prices can tempt you to keep spending within a game
If you mainly play slots, a straightforward spin offer is easier to value. If you prefer Slingo, a dedicated offer with clear extra-spin rules is better than trying to use a slot bonus on it. Our guide to which bonus is best for slots covers the slot side.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Slingo bonus?
A Slingo bonus is a casino offer you can use on Slingo, the games that mix a bingo-style grid with slot-style reels. It's usually a set of free Slingo games at a fixed stake or bonus funds that allow Slingo play. Conditions such as wagering, expiry and rules on extra spins apply. None of our partners runs one at present; their welcome offers are slot-based. Our game bonuses hub covers how bonuses treat other kinds of game.
Does Slingo count as slots for a bonus?
It depends on the casino's terms. Some count Slingo as a slot for qualifying bets and wagering; others list it separately at a reduced weighting or exclude it. For offers like "bet £10 on slots, get free spins", that difference decides whether Slingo play triggers the reward. Search the terms for "Slingo" and ask support if it isn't mentioned. Our explainer on what a qualifying bet is shows how qualifying rules are usually worded.
Do free Slingo games include extra spins?
Usually not. Free Slingo games are normally credited at a fixed base stake, which buys the standard spins in each game. If you choose to buy extra spins at the end of a game, the cost typically comes from your own balance or bonus funds, depending on the terms. You never have to buy them. Check the offer for a clause about extra spins before you play. Our guide to casino bonus terms shows where such clauses usually sit.
How much is a free Slingo game worth?
On average, its stake multiplied by the game's RTP. Ten free games at £1 are £10 of play; at an illustrative 95% RTP they return about £9.50 on average. With no wagering, that's the expected cash value. With 10x wagering on winnings, subtract the expected cost of that play. Check the actual RTP in the game's help screen, since it varies between Slingo titles. Our expected value guide uses the same method for any bonus.
Do Slingo games count towards wagering requirements?
Sometimes in full, sometimes partly, sometimes not at all. Weighting is set by each casino, and Slingo is less consistent than standard slots. At 25% weighting, £200 of wagering needs £800 of stakes, which at a 5% edge costs about £40 on average, more than a £20 bonus is worth. The terms or bonus tab will show the figure. Our entry on contribution percentage explains how to calculate the stakes needed.
Do the £5 and £2 stake limits apply to Slingo?
They apply to online slots, which the Gambling Commission defines as reel-based casino games. Slingo uses a row of reels, but the guidance doesn't name it, so check how the casino classes the game and what stake range it shows. Where a game is treated as a slot, extra stakes in the same game cycle, such as extra spins, count towards the £5 limit for players aged 25 and over or £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds. See our stake limits rule page.
Can I use free spins on Slingo?
No. Free spins are tied to named slot games, so they can't be used on Slingo titles. Coral's and Ladbrokes' spins are on each promotion's selected games, and PlayOJO's 80 spins are on Big Bass Bonanza. Winnings from no-wagering spins are cash, though, and you can use cash on any game you like within your limits. Our page on how to know which slots your free spins are on explains where to look.
Can a casino combine Slingo and bingo in one offer?
Not where they are different gambling products. Since 19 January 2026, Gambling Commission rules say one incentive can't include more than one type of product, such as casino and bingo. Where Slingo is offered as a casino game, an offer like "buy bingo tickets, get free Slingo games" would mix two products. Separate offers for each are still allowed. Our page on the mixed-product promotion ban explains the rule and its background.
Why do some bonuses exclude Slingo?
Casinos set eligible games to match how an offer is priced, and Slingo's extra-spin structure makes the cost of a game harder to predict than a fixed slot stake. Some casinos also group it with bingo-style products that their casino bonuses don't cover. The exclusion must be clear in the terms before you opt in, and using bonus funds on excluded games can lead to the bonus being removed. Our page on which games are excluded from bonuses has more examples.
Is a Slingo bonus worth it?
It can be, if you enjoy Slingo and the offer covers it clearly. Free games with no wagering are worth roughly their stake times the RTP. The catches are extra spins, which free games usually don't pay for, and weighting that can make bonus funds expensive to clear. Decide your budget, including any extra spins, before you start. Our guide to setting deposit limits shows how to put a cap in place first.
