A live roulette bonus lets you use bonus funds at a streamed roulette table with a real dealer, but UK welcome offers rarely allow it, and those that do usually count only a fraction of each stake. Our partners don’t publish one, so here is how live roulette bonuses work, what the wheel maths does to them and what to look at instead.
Live roulette is commonly excluded from welcome bonuses or counted at a low percentage towards wagering.
European roulette has a 2.70% house edge; at 10% weighting, clearing a £10 bonus at 10x costs about £27 on average.
Covering most of the table to clear wagering is usually banned as irregular play.
None of our partners publishes a live roulette bonus; their welcome offers are slot offers. 18+, terms apply.

Live roulette bonus: the quick answer
Most UK casino bonuses can’t be used on live roulette, and where they can, the terms usually let only 10% or so of each stake count towards wagering, sometimes nothing at all. A live roulette bonus that counts in full is uncommon. That’s why it pays to read the game-contribution table before opting in, rather than assuming a casino bonus covers the whole lobby.
Our partners are no exception. Coral and Ladbrokes trigger their spins with a £10 stake on slots, PlayOJO’s 80 spins are on Big Bass Bonanza, 10bet’s match bonus is wagered on slots, and Casumo’s bonus has game restrictions you’d need to check in its terms. None publishes an offer for live roulette. Our casino bonuses by game hub compares every game type, and the general roulette bonus page covers RNG wheels.
Why live roulette bonuses are rare in the UK
Three things push operators away from live roulette bonuses. First, the house edge on a European wheel is lower than on most slots, so a bonus cleared at the wheel costs the operator more. Second, live tables are streamed from studios by suppliers such as Evolution (opens in a new tab), and the operator pays for that service. Third, roulette’s even-money and covering bets make it easy to turn over a lot of stake with little net movement, which is exactly what wagering is meant to prevent.
The result is a familiar pattern in terms and conditions: slots count in full, RNG table games at a reduced rate, and live casino at a low rate or not at all. Our live casino bonus page looks at the whole live lobby, and does live casino count towards wagering answers the question directly.
Live roulette wheel maths: which version you play matters
Multiplier games change the payouts on straight-up numbers to fund random boosts, so their returns differ from the classic table. The help screen inside each game lists its RTP; use that rather than a figure from elsewhere. Whatever the version, the house edge applies to every spin, bonus funds included.
Live roulette weighting: a £10 bonus at 10x
Weighting is the share of each stake counted towards wagering. Here is a hypothetical £10 bonus with 10x wagering, so a £100 target, at different live roulette weightings on a European wheel:

The pattern is the same as on any low-weighted game: low contribution multiplies the stakes needed, and the expected cost grows with them. Actual sessions vary a lot, and you could win or lose much more than these averages. Our guide to how wagering works on live casino explains why live games are counted this way.
Live tables and bonus deadlines
Live roulette moves at the dealer’s pace, with betting windows and a physical spin each round, so you get through fewer rounds an hour than on most slots. That matters when a bonus has a short expiry. 10bet’s welcome bonus, for example, must be wagered within 3 days, and Casumo’s within 7; both are wagered on slots or under game restrictions, but they show how tight deadlines can be.
A short deadline combined with low weighting is the hardest mix: lots of stakes to place and little time to place them. If the numbers only work by playing longer or betting bigger than you normally would, that’s the sign to skip the bonus. See bonus expiry for how deadlines are written.
Covering the table: why it can void a live roulette bonus
Live roulette terms frequently ban betting on both red and black, odd and even, or covering most numbers in one spin while a bonus is active. Combined bets like these turn over a lot of stake with little real risk, so operators class them as irregular play and can remove the bonus and its winnings. Some terms also count only part of certain bet types, such as even-money bets.
Gambling Commission guidance on promotional play restrictions (opens in a new tab) says prohibited play must be clearly specified in advance and that operators can’t keep sole discretion over what counts. Read those clauses carefully: if a pattern is named, it applies to you. Our explainer on low risk betting shows how these terms are usually phrased.
How to check a live roulette bonus before opting in
Open the full bonus terms and find the game-contribution or excluded-games section.
Check whether “live casino” or named live roulette tables are listed, and at what percentage.
Note the bonus amount, wagering multiple (10x or less), expiry and any maximum bet.
Divide the wagering target by the live roulette weighting to get the total stakes needed.
Multiply that total by the house edge of the version you’d play to estimate the average cost.
Compare the average cost with the bonus. If the cost is higher, or the stakes are beyond your budget, don’t opt in.
If anything is unclear, ask support in writing and keep the reply.
Our wagering calculator does steps four and five for you, and should I opt out of a bonus covers the choice to play without one.
Live roulette bonus terms that matter most
Provider or table restrictions: some terms name specific studios or tables; see game provider restriction.
Bet-type rules: even-money, zero or combined bets may count differently or be banned.
Maximum bet with a bonus: Casumo’s is £5 per bet; more on our casino bonus max bet page.
Order of balances: whether your cash or bonus is staked first.
Maximum win: a cap on what bonus play can pay out.
Payment exclusions: e-wallet and prepaid deposits are commonly excluded from welcome offers.
Deposit and bonus balances must be shown separately under Commission guidance, so you can always see which money is being staked. Our casino bonus terms guide takes each clause in turn.

Alternatives to a live roulette bonus
If live roulette is your game, a welcome bonus may simply not be the right tool. The honest options are to play with your own money and no restrictions, or to look at promotions designed around live play, such as cashback paid as cash. Our cashback bonus page explains how those work, and the live casino free spins page covers a newer type of live promotion.
Advantages
A live roulette bonus, where allowed, adds to your playing balance
Wagering is capped at 10x in the UK
European tables have a relatively low house edge
Drawbacks
Live roulette is often excluded or counted at 10% or less
Covering bets are usually banned during bonus play
Slower rounds make short deadlines harder
No partner offer is built for live roulette
Staying in control at the live wheel
Live roulette is sociable and fast to bet on, and a wagering target can stretch a session well beyond what you planned. Set deposit and time limits first, and stop when you reach them. Losses are likely over time at any roulette table.

Where to play: offers to consider instead
We can’t point you to a partner live roulette bonus because none exists. These slot offers are the closest honest alternatives; each is 18+ and terms apply:
Coral: deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10+ on slots for 100 free spins at 10p on selected games, £10 of spins. Accept within 48 hours; valid 7 days; no wagering on spin winnings. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.
Ladbrokes: deposit and spend £10+ on slots for 50 free spins a day for 10 days, up to 500 spins at 10p (up to £50). Claim before 23:59 each day; valid 7 days; no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers don’t qualify.
PlayOJO: first deposit of £10+ for 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p (£8 of spins), winnings paid as cash. New UK customers excluding Northern Ireland.
A stake on live roulette wouldn’t count as Coral’s or Ladbrokes’ qualifying bet, which must be on slots. Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, so check the terms before joining both. PlayOJO says OJOplus pays money back on every game played, with no wagering; its help pages explain which games earn it.
None of these is a live roulette bonus. All three are slot offers with no wagering on spin winnings, shown because they’re the clearest alternatives. 18+, terms apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a casino bonus on live roulette?
Sometimes, but many UK welcome offers exclude live roulette or count it at a low rate, often around 10%. The terms’ game-contribution section will say, and live tables may be treated differently from RNG roulette. If live casino isn’t mentioned, ask support before opting in and keep their answer. Playing an excluded game with a bonus active can breach the terms. Our page on whether live casino counts towards wagering explains the usual approach.
Which of your partner casinos has a live roulette bonus?
None of them publishes one. Coral and Ladbrokes give free spins after a £10 slots stake, PlayOJO gives 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza after a £10 first deposit, 10bet’s 100% match up to £25 is wagered on slots, and Casumo’s 50% up to £100 carries game restrictions set out in its terms. All are 18+ and terms apply. Check the eligible games before playing; the Casumo eligible games page is a good starting point.
How much does it cost to clear a live roulette bonus?
It depends on weighting, but low contribution can make it expensive. For a £10 bonus with 10x wagering, the target is £100. At 10% weighting you’d need £1,000 of live roulette stakes, and at the European wheel’s 2.70% house edge the average cost is about £27, almost three times the bonus. At 100% weighting it would be about £2.70. These are averages and any session can differ widely. Use our wagering calculator with real terms.
Is betting on red and black at the same time allowed with a bonus?
Usually not. Many terms ban covering opposite outcomes, such as red and black or odd and even, while a bonus is active, because these bets turn over stake with very little net risk. Operators class this as irregular play and can remove the bonus and any winnings from it. Commission guidance requires these restrictions to be set out clearly in advance, so look for them in the terms. Our irregular play entry explains how they’re worded.
Is French roulette better for a bonus than European?
On even-money bets, French roulette with La Partage halves the house edge to about 1.35%, compared with 2.70% on European, so the average cost of wagering is lower. But bonus terms decide which tables count, and some restrict even-money bets during bonus play. A cheaper game doesn’t help if it’s excluded. Check the help screen for the exact rules on the table you choose. The house edge glossary entry explains how the figures are worked out.
Do UK stake limits apply to live roulette?
No. The £5 maximum stake for players aged 25 and over, and £2 for those aged 18 to 24, applies only to online slots, which the rules define as reel-based games. Roulette stakes are set by each table’s limits. A bonus can still impose its own maximum bet while it’s active, such as Casumo’s £5 per bet. Read our casino bonus max bet page for how these bonus caps work and what happens if you exceed one.
What about Lightning Roulette and other multiplier games?
Multiplier roulette games change the standard payouts to fund random boosts, so their returns differ from a classic European wheel and can vary by bet type. Use the RTP listed in each game’s help screen rather than assuming 2.70%. Bonus terms may also treat these games separately, sometimes excluding them. Check both the game rules and the contribution table before playing with bonus funds. Our guide on how wagering works on live casino covers live game shows and multiplier tables.
Can I withdraw my own money during a live roulette bonus?
Yes. Following the CMA undertakings and Gambling Commission guidance, you can withdraw your deposit balance at any time, even with a bonus active, and wagering requirements can’t be applied to your own money. Doing so usually cancels the bonus and any winnings made with it. Deposit and bonus balances must be displayed separately so you can tell them apart. See can I withdraw my deposit with a bonus active for the full rules.
Is a live roulette bonus worth claiming?
Often not, unless live roulette counts at a high percentage and the deadline is realistic. With low weighting, the extra stakes needed usually cost more than the bonus on average, and covering-bet rules limit how you can play. Playing with your own money keeps you free of wagering and maximum-bet rules. A bonus never turns roulette into a way to make money. Our is a casino bonus worth it guide sets out the full maths.
