How often do casinos give bonuses? A welcome bonus is given once per customer, while ongoing promotions for existing players appear as often as each casino chooses, from daily prize features to occasional reloads. In the UK, how often you hear about them depends on your marketing choices, and casinos must stop new bonuses for anyone showing strong signs of harm.
Welcome bonuses are once per person per brand; everything after that is at the casino’s discretion and varies week to week.
Since 1 May 2025 you choose, per product and channel, whether casinos can send you offers by email, SMS or phone.
Casinos must stop marketing and new bonus take-up for customers with strong indicators of gambling harm.
Since 19 January 2026, wagering is capped at 10x and promotions can’t mix casino with betting or bingo.

How often casinos give bonuses: the honest answer
There is no standard schedule. The one fixed point is the welcome bonus, which each casino gives to a new customer once. After that, frequency is a business decision: some brands run something every day, others offer little beyond a loyalty feature, and many target offers to particular accounts rather than everyone. Two customers at the same casino can see quite different promotions.
UK rules don’t set a minimum or maximum number of bonuses. They control how offers are made and to whom: who can be marketed to, what an offer can be tied to, and when a casino must stop offering bonuses to someone altogether. So the practical answer to ‘how often?’ is ‘as often as the casino chooses, within those limits, and only if you’ve agreed to hear about them’.

Here is what the published offers and app listings show. Beyond the welcome offers, we don’t list schedules because partners don’t publish them, and offers change. Check each brand’s promotions page.
Ladbrokes: the welcome offer itself is spread out, with 50 free spins a day for the first 10 days (up to 500 at 10p) after a £10 slots spend, claimed before 23:59 each day. The app listing also mentions free-to-play features such as a daily prize wheel and a LadBucks reward currency.
Coral: a one-batch welcome offer of 100 free spins at 10p after a £10 slots bet. Its app listing mentions Smart Rewards, Rewards Grabber and Coral Coins promotions.
PlayOJO: 80 welcome spins at 10p for a first deposit of £10+. Its OJOplus feature pays money back on every game played, with no wagering, so it applies continuously rather than as separate offers.
Casumo: a one-off 50% match up to £100 for new customers; the app listing mentions Reel Races and a rewards ‘Adventure’.
10bet: a one-off 100% match up to £25 for new customers who choose the casino welcome bonus.
Why some players get bonuses more often than others
Casinos target offers using account data, and several rules affect who is eligible:
Marketing consent: since 1 May 2025, the Commission’s direct marketing preferences rule (LCCP 5.1.12) (opens in a new tab) has required casinos to let you opt in separately for casino, betting and bingo, and separately for email, SMS and phone. Opt out and you won’t be sent offers, though you may still see them on the site.
Signs of harm: under the customer interaction code (LCCP 3.4.3) (opens in a new tab), casinos must stop marketing and new bonus take-up for customers with strong indicators of harm. Fewer offers can therefore be a protective step, not a punishment.
Self-exclusion: anyone registered with GAMSTOP is refused service and removed from marketing.
Account restrictions: casinos may remove bonus eligibility from accounts that broke promotion terms; see why is my account restricted.
High-value customer rules: VIP schemes now need checks that spending is affordable before rewards are offered. Read are VIP schemes safe.

On frequency specifically, the 2026 rewrite deleted an older clause saying a reward’s value must not depend on gambling with a pre-determined frequency, and added no new time-based ban. What remains is the rule that a casino can’t alter or increase an offer because you hit the qualifying spend sooner than the full period. Our page on time-based incentive rules explains where the line sits, and bonuses and harm indicators covers the stop rule.
How to control how often you get bonus offers
Open your account settings and find the marketing or communication preferences.
Choose separately for casino, betting and bingo, and for email, SMS and phone. Untick anything you don’t want.
Turn off app notifications in your phone settings if the app sends promotional alerts.
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email; casinos must act on it.
If you want no gambling contact at all, consider a time-out or self-exclusion, which removes you from marketing.
Does getting bonuses more often mean better value?
Not in a way that changes the outcome. Every bonus is built so that the house edge still applies while you use it. Frequent offers mainly create more reasons to log in and play, and the cost of play adds up over time. A useful test for any recurring offer: would you have played that day anyway, with that amount? If not, the offer is costing you more than it gives.
Ongoing offers also tend to carry tighter terms than welcome offers, with smaller amounts, short expiry or opt-in requirements. Our guide on when to say no to a bonus is worth reading before taking regular promotions.
Myths about how often casinos give bonuses
‘Loyal players are owed bonuses.’ No rule requires a casino to give existing customers offers.
‘Getting fewer offers means I did something wrong.’ It may reflect your marketing choices, targeting or a safer-gambling decision.
‘More offers mean the casino is more generous.’ Frequency says nothing about value; terms do.
‘I can get the welcome bonus again after a while.’ Welcome offers are for new customers only.

Frequently asked questions
How often can I claim a welcome bonus?
Once per casino brand, as a new customer. Welcome offers are limited to people opening their first account, and terms often extend that to one per household, device or payment method. Linked brands may count as one customer: Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, so check both sets of terms. Opening another account to claim again breaks the rules and can void winnings. See can you claim two welcome bonuses for more.
Do casinos give bonuses to existing customers?
Many do, but it varies by brand and by account. Common formats include reload offers, prize drops, reward games, tournaments and money-back features such as PlayOJO’s OJOplus. Offers are often targeted, so not everyone sees the same ones, and you need to have opted in to marketing to be sent them. Casinos must stop new bonuses for customers showing strong signs of harm. Our free spins for existing customers page has more examples.
Why have my casino bonuses stopped?
There are several possible reasons. You may have opted out of marketing for that product or channel, the casino’s targeting may have changed, or the account may be restricted after a breach of promotion terms. Casinos must also stop marketing and new bonuses for customers showing strong indicators of harm, which is a protective rule. If you’re unsure, ask support. The page on why some casinos don’t offer bonuses covers related reasons.
Are daily casino bonuses allowed in the UK?
Yes, a promotion with a fixed daily element, such as Ladbrokes’ 50 free spins a day for 10 days, is allowed. What changed on 19 January 2026 is that wagering was capped at 10x and offers can no longer mix gambling products. The code also still stops a casino increasing a reward because you met the qualifying spend sooner. See daily free spins for how these offers work.
How do I stop getting casino bonus emails and texts?
Change your marketing preferences in your account. Since 1 May 2025, UK casinos have had to let you choose separately for casino, betting and bingo, and separately for email, SMS and phone, with opt-out as the default for new customers. Unsubscribe links must also work. For a complete break, a time-out or GAMSTOP self-exclusion removes you from marketing. Our page on how to stop bonus offers explains each route.
Do casinos give more bonuses to people who lose more?
UK rules are designed to stop that being harmful. Casinos must watch for signs of harm, including spending patterns, and stop marketing and new bonuses where indicators are strong. VIP and high-value schemes need checks that spending is affordable before rewards are offered, with a senior licensed manager overseeing them. If offers seem to follow heavy losses, treat that as a reason to pause. See VIP scheme rules for the detail.
Are bonuses on certain days of the week better?
Not in any reliable way. Some casinos run themed days, such as weekend or Monday offers, but the value depends on the terms, not the day. A bonus doesn’t change a game’s RTP or house edge, so there is no better day to gamble. Pick offers by their conditions and your own budget. Our weekend bonus page shows what such offers typically involve and the terms to check.
Do I have to accept bonuses when they are offered?
No. UK casinos can’t enrol you in a promotion automatically, and you can play without any bonus. Many players decline offers to avoid wagering, maximum bets or deadlines. If a bonus is credited without your agreement, ask support to remove it before playing. Opting out of marketing also reduces how many offers you see. The guide on how to opt out of bonuses explains the steps.
Will a casino keep giving me bonuses if I self-exclude?
No. When you self-exclude, the operator must refuse service, close or suspend the account and remove you from marketing; GAMSTOP applies this across every UK-licensed online casino. You won’t be able to claim bonuses until the exclusion ends and you ask for it to be lifted. Some unlicensed sites target excluded players and offer no UK protections. See can you claim a bonus after self exclusion.
