How Casumo rewards work

How Casumo rewards work starts with the welcome offer: new customers who opt in get a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more, with 10x wagering on the bonus within 7 days and a £5 maximum bet. After that, Casumo’s app describes Reel Races and a levelling Adventure with trophies. This guide shows the maths of each and which details to check on Casumo’s own pages.

Key takeaways

  • Casumo’s welcome reward is a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more; opt-in required, 18+, terms apply.
  • The bonus must be wagered 10x within 7 days, with a £5 maximum bet while it’s active.
  • A £200 deposit gets the full £100 bonus, which needs £1,000 of wagering; at a 4% house edge that costs about £40 on average.
  • Casumo’s app listing describes Reel Races and The Adventure with a trophy collection; check the promotions page for current prizes.
  • No reward changes the house edge, and you can withdraw your own deposit balance while a bonus is active.

How Casumo rewards work: the three layers

Casumo’s rewards fall into three layers. First, the welcome bonus, a one-off deposit match for new customers. Second, Reel Races, which Casumo’s iOS app listing describes as racing with real-time in-app updates. Third, The Adventure, a levelling system with a trophy collection and an avatar that moves up as you play. Only the welcome bonus has terms we’ve checked in detail, so this guide treats the other two with care and points you to what to read.

Our Casumo casino bonus page is the full review of the welcome offer; this guide focuses on how the pieces fit together and what they’re worth.

How the Casumo welcome reward works in pounds

A 50% match means Casumo adds half of your first deposit as bonus funds, up to a £100 cap. Below £20 there’s no bonus at all, even though Casumo’s general minimum deposit is £10. The bonus then has to be wagered 10 times within 7 days before it can turn into withdrawable cash.

£300£100 (cap)£1,000About £40About £60

Two things stand out. Depositing more than £200 doesn’t raise the bonus, so there’s no reason to go higher for the offer’s sake. And the rough value assumes you finish the wagering; many sessions end with the bonus lost before that point, because results swing widely around the average. Our 50% deposit bonus page and wagering calculator let you run other figures.

The 7-day wagering window and £5 max bet in practice

Seven days is a short window for larger bonuses. £1,000 of wagering on the full £100 bonus works out at about £143 of stakes a day. At 50p a spin, that’s roughly 286 spins a day; at 20p, about 715. The £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active stops you from rushing it with big stakes, and UK law separately caps online slot spins at £5 for over-25s and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, so a younger player is limited to £2 regardless.

If the pace needed doesn’t fit how you normally play, a smaller deposit means a smaller bonus and a more manageable target: a £20 deposit needs only £100 of wagering. Our Casumo wagering guide, Casumo max bet page and Casumo expiry guide go into each term.

Breaking the £5 maximum bet rule while a bonus is active can lead to bonus winnings being removed. The terms set out what happens; read them before you play.

How to claim Casumo’s welcome reward

  1. Register as a new customer and complete age and identity checks, which UK rules require before you can deposit or play.
  2. Set a deposit limit when prompted. Since 31 October 2025, UK casinos must ask before your first deposit.
  3. Opt in to the welcome bonus. Casumo requires an opt-in, so it won’t be added automatically.
  4. Make a first deposit of at least £20 with a method the terms allow. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.
  5. Wager the bonus 10 times within 7 days, keeping every bet at £5 or less while it’s active.
  6. Once the wagering is complete, any remaining bonus balance converts to cash you can withdraw.

Our Casumo how-to-claim guide and Casumo payment methods page cover the details, including which deposit methods Casumo lists.

How Casumo Reel Races work as a tournament format

The Casumo app listing on the App Store (opens in a new tab) names Reel Races with real-time in-app updates. That’s the language of a slot tournament: players race on listed games for a set time, and results feed a leaderboard. We haven’t checked Casumo’s current race rules, so we can’t say how scoring, entry or prizes work there today.

For any race, find these four things on the race page before joining: the scoring rule (biggest win multiplier, total winnings or points per spin), the minimum stake, the prize table and whether prizes are cash or bonus funds. A bonus-fund prize can carry wagering of no more than 10x under UK rules since 19 January 2026. Our guide to how tournaments work explains each scoring type, and the tournament bonus page covers the promotion in general.

The Adventure, trophies and levelling

Casumo’s app listing also describes The Adventure, a trophy collection and a levelling avatar. Levelling schemes generally award progress for play and may attach rewards to certain levels. We don’t have checked details of what, if anything, each Casumo level pays, so treat any reward as unknown until you’ve read the current terms in your account.

A useful way to think about any levelling scheme is that progress is a record of how much you’ve staked, not of how well you’ve done. Moving up faster means staking more, which means losing more on average. If a level reward is close, ask whether you’d play that extra amount without it. Our loyalty bonus page and loyalty vs VIP comparison explain how these schemes are usually valued.

Higher-tier, invitation-only treatment is a separate matter. The Gambling Commission’s rules on VIP and high-value customers (opens in a new tab), in force since 31 October 2020, require operators to check that a customer’s spending is affordable and sustainable before offering VIP status. Our Casumo VIP page explains what we could and couldn’t confirm.

Your deposit, bonus funds and withdrawals at Casumo

Under the CMA undertakings and Gambling Commission guidance, you must be able to withdraw your own deposited money while a bonus is active, and deposit and bonus balances must be shown separately. Wagering can apply to bonus winnings, but not to your deposit balance. If you withdraw before finishing the wagering, expect the bonus and anything won from it to be removed; check Casumo’s terms for exactly how it applies.

UK rules that apply to every Casumo reward

  • 10x wagering cap since 19 January 2026, under the Commission’s code provision 5.1.1 (opens in a new tab). Casumo’s 10x sits at the cap. See the 10x wagering cap.
  • No mixed-product rewards since the same date: a casino reward can’t require a sports bet, even though Casumo’s iOS app combines casino and sportsbook. See the mixed-product promotion ban.
  • Opt-in, not automatic enrolment, and significant terms shown up front.
  • Rewards stop on strong signs of harm: operators must halt marketing and new bonus take-up for those customers.

Casumo’s welcome reward and the closest alternative

Casumo comes first below because this guide is about its rewards. Coral is the nearest contrast: a spin bundle with no wagering on winnings rather than a deposit match. Both are 18+ and terms apply.

  • Casumo: new customers who opt in get a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more. Wager the bonus 10x within 7 days; maximum £5 per bet with an active bonus. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.
  • Coral Casino: deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins at 10p, worth £10, on selected games. Accept within 48 hours; valid 7 days; no wagering on winnings. Runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.

Frequently asked questions

How do Casumo rewards work?

Casumo’s main reward for new customers is a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more, with opt-in required, 10x wagering within 7 days and a £5 maximum bet. For existing players, Casumo’s app listing describes Reel Races, a race-style tournament with real-time updates, and The Adventure, a levelling system with trophies. We haven’t checked current prizes for races or levels, so read those terms in your account. All rewards are 18+ and terms apply. Our Casumo bonus page has the full welcome terms.

How much is the Casumo welcome bonus worth?

It depends on your deposit. A £20 deposit gets £10 of bonus, which needs £100 of wagering; at a 4% house edge that costs about £4 on average, leaving roughly £6 of value. A £200 deposit gets the maximum £100 bonus, needing £1,000 of wagering and costing about £40 on average, so roughly £60 of value. Depositing more than £200 doesn’t increase the bonus. These are long-run averages, and any session can differ widely. Our Casumo wagering guide and wagering calculator show more examples.

What is the minimum deposit for Casumo’s bonus?

£20. Casumo says its general minimum deposit is £10 for all payment methods, but the welcome bonus only applies to a first deposit of £20 or more. Depositing £10 to £19 lets you play but earns no bonus, and you can’t usually top up later to claim it because the offer is tied to the first deposit. Payment restrictions also apply, so check which methods qualify before you pay. Our Casumo minimum deposit page and £20 deposit bonus page explain the details.

What happens if I bet more than £5 with a Casumo bonus?

You risk losing the bonus and anything won with it. Casumo’s welcome terms set a maximum of £5 per bet while a bonus is active, and casinos commonly remove bonus winnings when that rule is broken. Separately, UK law caps online slot stakes at £5 per spin for over-25s and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, so younger players face a lower limit anyway. If you want to bet more, finish or forfeit the bonus first. Our Casumo max bet page and casino bonus max bet guide explain how these rules are applied.

How do Casumo Reel Races work?

Casumo’s app listing describes Reel Races with real-time in-app updates, which points to a time-limited slot tournament with a live leaderboard. We haven’t verified current entry rules, scoring or prizes, so read the race page before joining. Look for the scoring rule, the minimum stake, the prize table and whether prizes are cash or bonus funds; bonus-fund prizes can’t carry more than 10x wagering under UK rules. Races never change the RTP of the games. Our guide to how tournaments work explains each scoring style.

What is the Casumo Adventure?

Casumo’s app listing describes The Adventure as a rewards and levelling system with a trophy collection and an avatar that progresses as you play. We don’t have checked details of what each level pays, so check your account for current rewards. Like any levelling scheme, progress tracks how much you’ve staked, so climbing faster means spending more. Treat any level reward as a small extra on play you’d do anyway, not a reason to play more. Our loyalty bonus page and how VIP schemes work explain how such schemes are valued.

Can I withdraw my deposit while a Casumo bonus is active?

Yes. Gambling Commission guidance, following the CMA’s action on online gambling promotions, says you must be able to withdraw your own deposit balance at any time, even with a bonus active, and that deposit and bonus balances must be shown separately. Wagering can only apply to bonus winnings. Withdrawing usually means the bonus and its winnings are removed, so check Casumo’s terms first. Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10. Our answers on withdrawing your deposit with a bonus active and Casumo withdrawals have more.

Do I need a promo code for Casumo rewards?

No. Casumo’s welcome bonus needs an opt-in rather than a promo code, and none of our partner offers needs a code. Make sure you tick or press the opt-in when you register or deposit, because the bonus won’t be added automatically and it usually can’t be added after a qualifying deposit is made without it. For race and level rewards, follow the instructions on each promotion page. Our Casumo promo code page and how to opt in to a bonus explain the process.

Is Casumo safe and licensed in the UK?

Casumo is run by Recro Limited, which holds a Gambling Commission remote casino licence under account number 61549, active since 21 December 2023 according to the public register. That licence means UK rules on wagering caps, stake limits, verification and safer gambling apply to Casumo’s UK customers. Its UK support hours are 7:00 to 23:00, and its email is hey@casumo.com. Our Casumo legitimacy guide and how to check a casino licence explain how to confirm this yourself.
