Casumo VIP and loyalty

Casumo VIP and loyalty in the UK is built around levelling up as you play rather than a published, tiered VIP club: Casumo describes a progress bar, The Adventure with its trophy collection, and Reel Races. Here is what those features are, what any play-based reward is really worth, and the Gambling Commission rules that sit behind every VIP offer.

Key takeaways

  • Casumo's UK pages describe levelling, trophies and Reel Races, not a published VIP tier table with set rewards.
  • Loyalty rewards are earned by staking money, so they never outweigh the house edge on the play that earns them.
  • Since 31 October 2020 operators must check affordability signs and source of funds before treating anyone as a high-value customer.
  • Any loyalty bonus with wagering is capped at 10x since 19 January 2026, and it can't mix casino with sports betting.
  • New customers get the 50% up to £100 welcome bonus (18+, £20 minimum deposit, 10x in 7 days, £5 max bet); terms apply.

Casumo VIP and loyalty: the short answer

Casumo doesn't publish a VIP club with named tiers, monthly cashback rates or a points-to-cash table on its UK site. What it does describe is a loyalty system built on progress: its UK homepage (opens in a new tab) says you level up with every spin, roll or hand, and that a progress bar shows how close you are to your next reward. Casumo's App Store listing names The Adventure, a Trophy Collection with a levelling avatar, and Reel Races with live updates.

So when people search for Casumo VIP, the honest answer is that the loyalty side is game-like rather than tier-based, and the exact reward attached to each level isn't set out publicly. That matters, because a reward you can't price in advance is hard to weigh against the money you stake to earn it. The rest of this page explains each feature, puts numbers on play-based rewards, and covers the UK rules any Casumo VIP or loyalty offer must follow. For the welcome offer itself, start with our Casumo casino bonus review.

Casumo is run by Recro Limited, licensed by the Gambling Commission under account number 61549. Its loyalty features and promotions can change; read the terms shown in your account before accepting any reward.

What Casumo publishes about its loyalty scheme

The table below sets out each loyalty element, where Casumo describes it, and what it leaves unsaid. The right-hand column is the list of questions to answer from the terms in your account before you treat a reward as worth anything.

None of this is unusual. Many UK casinos moved away from openly advertised VIP ladders after the Gambling Commission tightened its high-value customer rules. Our guide to how VIP schemes work explains the wider shift, and loyalty bonuses covers points, coins and tiers across the market.

How Casumo's levelling loyalty works in practice

Levelling turns staking into visible progress. Each bet moves the bar, and reaching the end of a bar triggers a reward or a new level. Because the bar fills with money staked rather than money lost, someone who bets £1,000 in a week and wins a little fills it exactly as fast as someone who bets £1,000 and loses heavily.

Three practical points follow from that design:

  • Progress tracks stakes, not luck. A bigger stake per spin fills the bar faster, but it also raises the average cost per hour of play.
  • Rewards arrive with their own terms. A level reward might be cash, bonus spins or bonus money; anything with wagering is limited to 10x under the 10x wagering cap.
  • Levels aren't a target. Chasing the next level is exactly the habit the regulator wants operators to avoid encouraging, which is why time-limited level-up pushes are now restricted (see the UK rules section below).

Casumo's existing-customer offers sit alongside the levelling. Our page on Casumo offers for existing customers goes through the kinds of reward you might see after the welcome bonus.

Reel Races: a tournament, not a VIP tier

Reel Races are short slot competitions. Players spin a nominated game during a set window, and a leaderboard ranks them by a scoring rule shown in the race details. Casumo's app listing says the races update in real time. Prizes go to the top places, so most entrants win nothing from the race itself.

Two numbers decide whether a race is worth your attention: the cost of the spins you'd play anyway, and the chance of finishing in a paid place. If you would have played 100 spins at 20p on that slot regardless, the race adds a small chance of a prize at no extra cost. If you play more spins than you meant to in order to climb the leaderboard, the extra play costs more on average than the prize is likely to return. Our guide to casino tournaments covers scoring formats in more detail.

What Casumo loyalty rewards are worth in pounds

Every play-based reward is a partial refund of an expected cost. On slots with around 96% RTP, the house edge is about 4%, so each £100 staked costs about £4 on average. The table compares that cost with rewards of different sizes.

Expected cost of play against a loyalty reward (about 4% house edge)
Total stakedAverage cost of the playReward worth £2Reward worth £10Reward worth £25
£250About £10Covers about 20%Covers about 100%More than the average cost
£500About £20Covers about 10%Covers about 50%Covers about 125%
£1,000About £40Covers about 5%Covers about 25%Covers about 63%
£2,500About £100Covers about 2%Covers about 10%Covers about 25%

The pattern is plain: the more you stake to reach a reward, the smaller the share of the cost it gives back. A reward only looks generous when it is large compared with the stakes needed to earn it. These are long-run averages, and any one session can land far above or below them. The expected value guide shows how to run the sum for any offer, and RTP explains where the 96% figure comes from.

If a level reward is bonus money rather than cash, subtract the cost of its wagering too. A £10 bonus at 10x needs £100 of wagering, which costs about £4 on average at a 4% edge, leaving roughly £6 of expected value. Casumo bonus wagering works the same way for the welcome offer.

UK VIP and loyalty rules that apply to Casumo

Casumo's loyalty features sit inside the Gambling Commission's rules on incentives. The main ones, with their start dates, are below.

UK rules on VIP and loyalty incentives
RuleIn forceWhat it means for Casumo loyalty
High-value customer (VIP) rules31 October 2020Before treating anyone as a VIP, the operator must check that spending is affordable and sustainable, look for signs of harm and hold up-to-date ID and source-of-funds evidence
Senior oversight31 October 2020A senior person holding a personal management licence must oversee each VIP scheme
Bonus take-up stops on strong harm signs12 February 2023Marketing and new bonuses must stop for customers with strong indicators of harm

No bigger reward for qualifying fasterRestated 19 January 2026A reward can't be increased because you met the qualifying spend sooner than the full period

The Commission set out its reasons in its announcement of new rules to stamp out irresponsible VIP practice (opens in a new tab), and the detail sits in its high-value customers guidance (opens in a new tab). The current incentive rules are in LCCP social responsibility code 5.1.1 (opens in a new tab). Our pages on UK VIP scheme rules, the mixed-product promotion ban and the time-based incentive rules cover each in more depth.

Casumo's welcome bonus versus its loyalty rewards

The welcome bonus is the one Casumo reward with fully published key terms, so it's the easiest to value. Loyalty rewards come later and are priced one at a time.

On the welcome offer, a £20 deposit brings a £10 bonus and £100 of wagering, which costs about £4 on average at a 4% edge. A £200 deposit reaches the £100 cap, with £1,000 to wager inside seven days. Our Casumo bonus max bet page covers the £5 limit, and the loyalty versus VIP comparison sets out how the two models differ across the market.

How to check a Casumo loyalty reward before accepting it

Use the same routine for any level reward, trophy prize or race prize:

  1. Open the reward in your account and find its terms link before you press accept.
  2. Note whether it is cash, bonus money or bonus spins, and the value per spin if it's spins.
  3. Check the wagering multiple (10x at most) and work out the total: bonus × multiple.
  4. Check the expiry and whether the clock starts when the reward is issued or when you accept it.
  5. Check the eligible games and the maximum bet while it's active.
  6. Decide whether you'd have played those games at that stake anyway; if not, leave the reward.

Declining is always an option. The guide to opting out of bonuses explains how, and why some players prefer to play with cash only.

Turning down loyalty offers and when they must stop

Since 1 May 2025, UK casinos must ask you to opt in to marketing for each product and each channel, and new customers start opted out by default. If Casumo loyalty emails or texts aren't welcome, change your marketing preferences in your account; how to stop bonus emails lists the usual routes.

Separately, the Commission's customer interaction code (opens in a new tab) requires operators to stop marketing and new bonus take-up when a customer shows strong signs of harm. A paused reward isn't a mistake to complain about; it's a protection. How Casumo loyalty compares with PlayOJO's OJO Levels

PlayOJO publishes more about its loyalty structure. Its help page (opens in a new tab) says OJO Levels only go up, not every level gives a reward, Kickers are daily perks, and OJO Club is invitation-only with an assigned manager. OJOplus pays money back on every game played, with no wagering.

Advantages

  • Casumo: levelling and trophies make progress visible at a glance
  • Casumo: Reel Races add a competition element to play you'd do anyway
  • PlayOJO: OJOplus money back has no wagering

Drawbacks

  • Casumo: reward values per level aren't published in advance
  • Casumo: no public VIP tier terms to compare
  • PlayOJO: OJO Club is invitation-only, so its terms aren't public either

Neither scheme changes the house edge on the games you play. See PlayOJO VIP and loyalty and how OJOplus works for the detail.

Where Casumo VIP and loyalty fits with the welcome offers

Loyalty rewards come after you've joined, so the offer you can actually price today is the welcome bonus. Casumo's terms: 18+, new customers, opt-in required, 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20, wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, maximum £5 per bet with an active bonus, and game, play and payment restrictions apply.

PlayOJO is the closest alternative for anyone who prefers no wagering: 18+, new UK customers (Northern Ireland excluded), a first deposit of at least £10 brings 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each, which is £8 of spins with winnings paid as cash. It can't be combined with other offers and is available only through the designated offer link. At Big Bass Bonanza's 96.71% RTP, £8 of spins returns about £7.74 on average, though high volatility means most results land well away from that. Terms apply to both offers, and neither changes the long-run cost of gambling.

Frequently asked questions

Does Casumo have a VIP programme in the UK?

Casumo's UK pages don't describe a named VIP programme with published tiers or set rewards. What they describe is a levelling system with a progress bar, The Adventure and Trophy Collection, and Reel Races. If an operator does treat someone as a high-value customer, Gambling Commission rules since 31 October 2020 require affordability and harm checks first, plus senior oversight of the scheme. Our UK VIP scheme rules page explains those checks, and the Casumo casino bonus review covers the welcome offer.

How do you level up at Casumo?

You level up at Casumo by playing: its UK homepage says every spin, hand or roll counts, and a progress bar shows how close you are to your next reward. Casumo doesn't publish how many pounds of stakes one level takes, so you can't calculate the cost of a level in advance. Because progress follows money staked, a larger stake per spin fills the bar faster but also costs more on average. Loyalty bonuses explains how play-based schemes compare across UK casinos.

What are Casumo Reel Races?

Reel Races are slot tournaments in which players spin a nominated game during a set window and climb a leaderboard ranked by the race's scoring rule. Casumo's app listing says they update in real time. Prizes go to the top places, so most entrants finish without a race prize. Check each race's qualifying stake, scoring method and whether prizes come as cash or bonus money with wagering. Our tournaments guide and Casumo rewards guide go further.

Are Casumo loyalty rewards worth it?

Casumo loyalty rewards are worth something only if you'd have staked the money anyway, because they refund a slice of the expected cost of play rather than add profit. At a 4% house edge, £1,000 of stakes costs about £40 on average, so a £10 reward offsets about a quarter of that. Rewards paid as bonus money lose a little more to wagering. Run your own numbers with the wagering calculator and read is a casino bonus worth it.

Do Casumo loyalty bonuses have wagering requirements?

Some may, and any that do are capped at 10x the bonus under the Gambling Commission rule in force since 19 January 2026. A £5 bonus could need no more than £50 of wagering, for example. The wagering, expiry, eligible games and maximum bet are shown on each reward, so read them before you accept. Cash prizes from races usually carry no wagering, but check the race rules. See the 10x wagering cap and Casumo bonus wagering.

Can Casumo loyalty rewards be used on sports betting?

Not as a mixed casino and sports reward. Since 19 January 2026, UK rules ban incentives that combine more than one gambling product, so a reward earned by playing slots can't be paid as a free bet, and a sports reward can't turn into casino spins. Casumo's iOS app combines casino and sportsbook, so check which product a reward belongs to. Our page on the mixed-product promotion ban explains the rule, and casino bonus vs free bet compares the two.

Is a VIP scheme safe to join?

A VIP scheme at a UK-licensed casino must follow the Gambling Commission's high-value customer rules, but more rewards for more play still carries a real risk of spending more than you planned. Operators must check that spending is affordable and sustainable and look for signs of harm before offering VIP treatment. If you're being invited because you've been spending heavily, treat that as a moment to review your limits. Read are VIP schemes safe and bonuses and gambling harm.

Can I opt out of Casumo loyalty offers?

Yes. You can decline any individual reward, and since 1 May 2025 you control whether Casumo markets casino offers to you by email, SMS or phone, with each product and channel opted into separately. Change the settings in your account, or ask customer support at hey@casumo.com between 7:00 and 23:00 UK time. Opting out doesn't affect your balance or your ability to play. See how to stop bonus emails and should I opt out of a bonus.

Why might Casumo stop sending me loyalty offers?

Usually because of your marketing settings, but UK rules also require operators to stop marketing and new bonus take-up for customers who show strong indicators of harm. That duty has applied since 12 February 2023 under the customer interaction code. Spending patterns, time spent and use of safer gambling tools can all count as indicators. A pause is a protective step, not a penalty. Our pages on bonuses and harm indicators and why accounts are restricted explain more.

How is Casumo loyalty different from PlayOJO's?

PlayOJO publishes more about its structure: its help page says OJO Levels only go up, not every level gives a reward, Kickers are daily perks and OJO Club is invitation-only with an assigned manager. It also pays OJOplus money back on every game played, with no wagering. Casumo describes levelling, trophies and Reel Races but not reward values per level. Neither changes the house edge. Compare them on PlayOJO VIP and loyalty and PlayOJO vs Casumo bonus.
