Is a 100 percent bonus good? It is the most generous match rate per pound you will see from UK-licensed casinos today, but a low cap and a short wagering window usually limit what it is worth. A £25 bonus at 10x carries roughly £15 of average value, needs £250 of play and doesn’t double your money in any real sense.
A 100% match adds £1 of bonus funds per £1 deposited, until the cap is reached.
Caps shrink the real rate quickly: £100 into a £25-cap offer is effectively a 25% match.
At 10x wagering and a 4% edge, a £25 bonus keeps about £15 of value on average.
Short windows (3 days at 10bet) and winnings caps (£1,000) are part of the deal.
18+ only; the bonus doesn’t change the odds or the long-run cost of play.

Is a 100 percent bonus good? What the headline hides
A 100% match is good value per pound up to its cap, and the 10x wagering limit that applies in Great Britain since 19 January 2026 means it is far fairer than the same headline was a few years ago. Its weak spots are elsewhere: caps tend to be low, windows to complete the wagering are often short, and some have a ceiling on what the bonus can win.
So the honest answer is “good, at the right deposit, if you have time for the wagering”. This page belongs to our bonus questions section; the 100% deposit bonus page covers the partner offer in full.
Why a 100% bonus doesn’t really double your money
Adverts for 100% matches can feel like a promise to double a deposit. In practice, a £25 deposit with a £25 bonus gives you £25 of cash and £25 of bonus funds that can’t be withdrawn until they have been wagered. With 10x wagering, that means £250 of stakes, and at a 4% house edge those stakes cost around £10 on average.
The result is roughly £15 of average value on top of your deposit, not £25, and in many individual sessions the bonus balance runs out before the wagering is complete. That is still a meaningful extra, but it is a long way from doubling anything. The expected value guide shows this calculation step by step.
How the bonus cap changes a 100 percent match
Every UK match bonus has a cap. Once your deposit passes it, the bonus stops growing, and the effective match rate falls. The table uses 10bet’s 100% up to £25 to show how quickly that happens.

The first row is illustrative: 10bet doesn’t publish a minimum deposit for its welcome bonus in the details we hold, so check the offer page before depositing a small amount. Past £25, extra deposit buys nothing extra. Our bonus cap entry explains how caps are worded and where they appear.
The time limit: 10x wagering in three days
10bet asks for the bonus to be wagered 10x on slots within 3 days. For the full £25 bonus, that is £250 of stakes, or roughly £83 a day. At 50p a spin, that is 500 spins; at £1, 250 spins. UK slots must take at least 2.5 seconds per spin, so 500 spins need about 21 minutes of spinning at the very least, and in practice much longer.
Three days is short enough that it can push people to play more often or at higher stakes than usual. If you know you won’t have time, a smaller deposit (and so a smaller bonus with less wagering) or a wager-free offer may suit you better. Our answer to how long a bonus should last compares common windows.
The £1,000 cap on bonus winnings
10bet’s offer limits bonus winnings to £1,000. Anything won from bonus play above that figure is removed when the bonus converts. For a £25 bonus, that ceiling is forty times the bonus, so it will rarely come into play, but it is a significant term and must be shown with the offer. For more on how these caps are usually calculated, see casino bonus max win rules.

The 100% match carries the biggest average figure here, but it also asks for £250 of play in 3 days, against £10 for Coral’s spins. If you would play £250 on slots in those three days regardless, the match makes sense. If not, the wager-free spins give far more per pound of play. Our match bonus vs free spins comparison sets out both cases.
Terms to read before taking a 100% match

When to deposit. The first deposit must be made within 7 days of choosing the offer.
Payment method. Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded from 10bet’s welcome bonus. Our Skrill and Neteller bonus page explains why e-wallets are often left out.
Eligible games. Wagering is on slots; other games may not count.
Maximum bet. Check the cashier and terms for any stake limit while the bonus is active, on top of the legal £5 and £2 per-spin limits.
UK rules that make a 100 percent bonus fairer than it used to be
Before 19 January 2026, a 100% match could carry any wagering multiple; the Commission’s own example was a £10 bonus at 50x needing £500 of play. Now, under the 10x wagering cap set out in the Commission’s promotions announcement (opens in a new tab), the same bonus can’t ask for more than £100. The same date brought a ban on offers that mix gambling products.
Older protections still apply. You can withdraw your deposit balance while a bonus is active, the casino must verify your age and identity before you play, and credit cards can’t be used. You can confirm 10bet’s operator, Blue Star Planet Limited, on the Gambling Commission register (opens in a new tab) under account 43173.
How to decide if a 100% bonus suits you
Choose your deposit from your budget, not from the cap.
Work out the bonus that deposit earns and multiply by 10 for the wagering.
Divide the wagering by the days allowed and judge the daily play honestly.
Check that your payment method qualifies and that you select the right welcome offer at sign-up.
Read the eligible games, stake limits and winnings cap.
Set a deposit limit before your first deposit; UK casinos must prompt you to.
Track wagering progress, and stop if the bonus starts setting the pace of your play.

Frequently asked questions
What does a 100% deposit bonus mean?
It means the casino adds bonus funds equal to your deposit, up to a cap. Deposit £20 into a 100% up to £25 offer and you receive £20 of bonus funds; deposit £50 and you still receive £25. The bonus sits apart from your cash and must be wagered before it can be withdrawn. Our match bonus page explains how match rates, caps and wagering fit together.
Is a 100% bonus better than free spins?
It depends on how much you plan to play. 10bet’s 100% match on a £25 deposit carries about £15 of average value but needs £250 of play in 3 days. Coral’s 100 wager-free spins carry about £9.20 of average value for a £10 slots bet. Per pound of play, the spins win clearly; in total pounds, the match is bigger. Our free spins vs deposit bonus comparison covers both angles.
Is a 100% bonus up to £25 worth it?
It is a modest extra if a £25 deposit fits your budget and you have time for £250 of slots wagering within 3 days. On average, about £10 of the £25 bonus is consumed by the house edge during wagering, leaving roughly £15. If the deadline would make you play more than usual, it is probably not worth it for you. Our 10bet bonus review explains every term of that offer.
Can I withdraw my 100% bonus straight away?
No. The bonus becomes withdrawable only after the wagering is complete, which for 10bet means 10x the bonus on slots within 3 days. Your own deposit is different: UK guidance lets you withdraw your deposit balance at any time, though that normally ends the bonus, so decide before you request it. Our explainer on what happens to a bonus when you withdraw covers how casinos handle this.
What is the highest wagering allowed on a 100% bonus in the UK?
10x the bonus. The Gambling Commission’s cap took effect on 19 January 2026 and applies to every UK-licensed casino. A £25 bonus can therefore require at most £250 of wagering, and a £100 bonus at most £1,000. Casinos can set lower multiples, or none at all. Our page on the 10x wagering cap gives the rule’s background, the consultation and the exact wording in the code.
Why is my 100% bonus capped at £25?
Because the casino chose that limit when designing the offer. Caps control the cost of a welcome bonus, and smaller caps often go with shorter wagering windows. A cap isn’t a sign of an unfair offer as long as it is shown clearly with the headline. If you deposit more than the cap, the extra stays as cash without bonus attached. Our 100% deposit bonus page compares cap sizes.
Do Skrill and Neteller deposits get a 100% bonus?
Not at 10bet, which excludes Skrill and Neteller deposits from its welcome bonus. Many UK casinos exclude some e-wallets from welcome offers, so check the list before depositing. Debit cards are the method most widely accepted for bonuses, and credit cards can’t be used for gambling in Great Britain at all. Our guide to how payment exclusions work lists the usual patterns and how to spot them.
What happens to winnings over £1,000 from a 100% bonus?
They are removed. 10bet caps bonus winnings at £1,000, so if bonus play produces more than that, only £1,000 converts when wagering is complete. Winnings from your own cash balance aren’t limited by this term. For a £25 bonus the cap is high relative to the bonus, so it rarely matters. Our glossary entry on max cashout explains how this type of cap works.
Is a 100% bonus a good idea for beginners?
Only if the rules are clear to you before you deposit. A match bonus involves separate balances, a wagering target, a deadline, eligible games and possibly a stake limit, which is more to keep track of than a simple spins offer. Many beginners find a small wager-free spins offer easier to understand. Our casino bonus guide for beginners explains each piece in plain English.
Does a 100% bonus make gambling cheaper?
No. A bonus gives you extra funds, but the wagering it requires is played at the normal house edge, so the long-run cost per pound staked stays the same. If anything, wagering can lead you to stake more in total than you would have without the bonus. Treat it as extra playing time within a fixed budget. The guide to bonuses and gambling harm covers the warning signs.
