Can I withdraw with wagering still pending? Yes, you can always withdraw the cash in your deposit balance, even halfway through a wagering requirement. UK rules say a casino can’t make you finish wagering before you take out your own money. What you normally give up is the bonus itself and anything it has won, because those only become cash once wagering is complete.
Once you request a withdrawal, the casino can’t offer you the option to reverse it.

Can I withdraw with wagering still pending? Yes, for your own money
Yes. Your deposit and anything you’ve won with it belong to you, and UK rules let you withdraw them whenever you like. That holds even if you’re part-way through a wagering requirement. What you can’t usually do is take the bonus money, or winnings made with it, before the wagering is finished. In most terms, withdrawing early means the bonus and its winnings are removed.
So the real question is not ‘can I’ but ‘what will I give up?’ The rest of this page shows how to work that out, with examples from our partners’ terms. The questions hub has related answers, including what happens to a bonus when you withdraw.
Can I withdraw with wagering still pending? The UK rules
The Gambling Commission’s guidance on restrictions on withdrawing deposit and deposit winnings (opens in a new tab) sets the baseline. Players must be told they can withdraw their deposit balance at any time, including when a bonus is pending or active. Operators must allow that even if the money has been allocated to a bonus, and can’t make you meet wagering before you withdraw from your deposit balance. Wagering can, however, apply to bonus winnings.
Separate balances. Deposit and bonus balances must be shown separately and clearly, never as one pot.
No wagering on your own money. Play restrictions and wagering must not apply while you’re playing with the deposit balance.
Fees. Any withdrawal charge can’t exceed the direct processing cost.
No reversal. Since 31 October 2021, casinos can’t give you the option to cancel a withdrawal request (often called a reverse withdrawal).
These principles grew out of the Competition and Markets Authority’s work in 2018. Its online gambling case (opens in a new tab) secured undertakings from operators including Ladbrokes that players could withdraw their own money during bonus play. Our pages on bonus withdrawal rules and the CMA undertakings give the full history.

Which money gets used first, cash or bonus, isn’t set by the Commission’s guidance; each casino sets it in its terms. That order decides how much of your balance is ‘yours’ at any point. Our guide to how bonus funds and cash are used and the bonus balance glossary entry explain the mechanics, and a mixed wager, drawn from both balances at once, can make the split harder to follow.
Worked examples with partner match bonuses
Casumo and 10bet are the two partners whose welcome offers carry wagering, so they show the trade-off best. The figures assume cash is used before bonus money, which may not match each casino’s order; check the terms.
10bet: £25 deposit, £25 bonus, £250 to wager in 3 days
You deposit £25 and receive a £25 bonus (100% match, 18+, T&Cs apply). Wagering is 10 × £25 = £250 on slots within 3 days, and bonus winnings are capped at £1,000. Suppose after £120 of slot bets your cash balance is £18 and your bonus balance is £31. Withdrawing now gets you the £18 of cash. The £31 of bonus value, and the £130 of wagering still to do, fall away.
Casumo: £200 deposit, £100 bonus, £1,000 to wager in 7 days
You deposit £200 and get the maximum £100 bonus (50%, opt-in, 18+, T&Cs apply), with max £5 a bet while it’s active. Wagering is £1,000 within 7 days. If you decide to stop after £400 of bets with £150 of cash left, you can withdraw the £150. The bonus balance goes. On average, finishing the remaining £600 of wagering would cost about £24 at a 4% house edge, but any one session can lose far more or less. Stopping is always allowed, and walking away is often the sensible choice.
Free spins with no wagering: nothing left pending
Three of our partners avoid the problem entirely. Coral’s 100 spins, Ladbrokes’ up to 500 spins and PlayOJO’s 80 spins carry no wagering on winnings, so whatever the spins return is cash straight away. You can withdraw it whenever you like, subject to the casino’s usual withdrawal process and minimums.
The catch with Ladbrokes is the daily structure: 50 spins a day for 10 days, each batch claimed before 23:59 and valid for 7 days. Withdrawing doesn’t create pending wagering, but if you close your account or stop logging in, unclaimed days are lost. Our page on how no-wagering spins pay out covers this, as does can you withdraw free spins winnings.
How to withdraw when wagering isn’t finished
Open the bonus or promotions tab and note your cash balance, bonus balance and wagering still required.
Read the bonus terms on early withdrawal, so you know whether the bonus is removed or simply stays locked.
Go to the cashier and choose withdraw; the withdrawable figure shown should be your cash balance.
Pick a method, usually the one you deposited with, since most UK casinos pay back to the source where possible.
Confirm the request. It can’t be reversed by you from that point, which protects you from spending it again.
If the withdrawable amount looks wrong, contact support and ask for a breakdown of cash versus bonus.
If verification is still outstanding, finish it first. A casino shouldn’t use a withdrawal request to ask for information it could reasonably have requested earlier, as our KYC rules page explains.
Wagering deadlines and what expiry does to pending bonuses
Wagering has a clock. Casumo gives 7 days and 10bet gives 3. If the deadline passes before you finish, the bonus and its winnings usually expire, while your cash balance stays yours. In practice, letting a bonus expire and withdrawing early end in the same place for the bonus money.
Pending wagering at each partner (offer terms checked 5 October 2026)
‘My whole balance is frozen until I finish wagering.’ No. Your deposit balance is always withdrawable under UK rules.
‘I can withdraw the bonus if I ask nicely.’ The terms decide; bonus funds stay restricted until wagering is complete.
‘I can cancel my withdrawal and carry on.’ Not at a UK-licensed casino since 31 October 2021.
‘The casino can keep my deposit if I quit early.’ No. Un-staked deposits remain your property.
If a casino refuses to release your own cash, the complaints and ADR rules set out what to do, starting with the operator’s own process.
Deciding whether to stop with wagering pending
There is no strategy that makes completing wagering a good bet; the house edge applies to every pound wagered, bonus or not. The useful questions are simpler. Are you still enjoying it? Have you reached the budget you set? Would you be playing now without the bonus? If any answer points to stopping, withdraw your cash and let the bonus go. That is exactly what the UK rules on walking away are for. Our guide on when to say no to a bonus and the responsible gambling page can help.
Offers with no wagering left pending

Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots for 50 free spins a day for 10 days (up to 500 at 10p), claim by 23:59 each day, valid 7 days, no wagering.
PlayOJO: 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p after a first deposit of £10 or more, with winnings paid in cash. 18+, new customers, terms apply. For a side-by-side view, see no wagering vs low wagering.

Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my bonus if I withdraw before finishing wagering?
Usually, yes. Most terms say an early withdrawal removes the bonus and any winnings made with it, while your cash balance is paid out. The exact wording varies, so read the bonus terms before you request a withdrawal. At Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO, spin winnings carry no wagering, so nothing is lost by withdrawing. 18+, terms apply. See what happens if I lose my bonus and our bonus forfeiture glossary entry.
Can a casino stop me withdrawing my deposit during a bonus?
No. Gambling Commission guidance says operators must allow you to withdraw your deposit balance at any time, even if it has been allocated to a bonus, and must not make you meet wagering first. This principle came out of the CMA’s 2018 work on online gambling promotions. If a casino blocks it, complain to the operator and then to an ADR provider. Our pages on withdrawing a deposit with a bonus active and where to complain about a casino explain how.
Is a partial withdrawal possible without losing the bonus?
Sometimes. Some casinos allow partial cash withdrawals without removing the bonus, while many treat any withdrawal as ending it. There isn’t a UK rule either way, so the bonus terms decide. Ask support before you withdraw if keeping the bonus matters to you, and get the answer in writing. Your cash remains withdrawable in either case. See does a bonus affect withdrawals and our bonus terms guide.
Can I cancel a withdrawal and finish my wagering?
No, not at a UK-licensed casino. Since 31 October 2021, operators have been banned from giving customers the option to reverse a withdrawal request, and they shouldn’t offer to let you deposit those funds again once requested. The rule exists because reversing withdrawals was linked to people gambling away money they had decided to keep. Decide before you press the button. Our reverse withdrawal glossary entry and UK withdrawal rules explain more.
How do I know how much I can withdraw with wagering pending?
Check the cashier’s withdrawable figure, which should match your cash balance, and the bonus tab, which shows bonus balance and wagering left. UK rules require deposit and bonus balances to be displayed separately and clearly, so you shouldn’t have to guess. If the figures don’t add up, ask support for a breakdown. Our answer on checking bonus wagering progress and the pending withdrawal glossary entry can help.
Does 10bet let me withdraw before wagering is complete?
You can withdraw your own cash at 10bet at any time, as at any UK casino. The welcome bonus (100% up to £25, 10x on slots within 3 days, max bonus winnings £1,000, 18+, T&Cs apply) and its winnings stay restricted until wagering is met, and the terms decide whether a withdrawal removes it. Skrill and Neteller deposits don’t qualify. Our 10bet wagering page and 10bet withdrawal page cover the details.
What happens to pending wagering at Casumo if I cash out?
Your cash balance is paid out, and the bonus with any bonus winnings is expected to go, following the terms. Casumo’s offer is 50% up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more, with 10x wagering within 7 days and a £5 max bet while the bonus is active. 18+, opt-in required, terms apply. Check the full terms for its exact early-withdrawal wording. See our Casumo wagering page and Casumo withdrawal page.
Is it better to finish wagering or withdraw early?
Neither is better as a money decision, because every pound wagered faces the house edge. Finishing £600 of remaining wagering at a 4% edge costs about £24 on average, but results vary widely. The better guide is your budget and whether you’re still enjoying the game. If you want to stop, stopping is fine. Our guides on is a casino bonus worth it and how to clear a bonus explain the maths.
Are no-wagering free spins winnings withdrawable straight away?
Yes. Coral’s, Ladbrokes’ and PlayOJO’s free spins carry no wagering, so winnings are added as cash and can be withdrawn like any other cash balance, subject to verification and the casino’s minimum for your payment method. There is nothing pending to lose. 18+, terms apply. Our page on the minimum withdrawal after a bonus and the no-wagering bonus guide explain the details.
