Can I change my bonus? Usually not once you’ve claimed it: the offer, its amount, the spin game and the wagering are fixed when you opt in. What you can nearly always do is opt out or cancel, and you choose freely up to the moment you claim. Here is what is fixed, what isn’t, and why the same rule protects you.
Before you opt in or deposit, you can pick any eligible offer; after claiming, its key terms are locked for both sides.
You can’t swap a casino welcome offer for a sports one, or mix the two, since the 19 January 2026 mixed-product ban.
Depositing more later doesn’t raise a bonus that was calculated on your first deposit.
A casino can’t vary or withdraw a promotion you have opted into, except to prevent fraud or similar unlawful behaviour.

Can I change my bonus once I’ve claimed it?
In most cases, no. A casino bonus is an agreement made at the moment you opt in, deposit or place the qualifying bet, and its main terms are set from then on. You can’t normally switch to a different welcome offer, raise the amount, move free spins to another slot or shorten the wagering. You can, however, walk away from it: every UK-licensed casino must let you withdraw your own deposit balance, and most let you cancel a casino bonus from your account or through support.
The fixed-terms rule works in your favour too. The Gambling Commission’s guidance on the right to vary a promotion (opens in a new tab) says operators must not change or withdraw a promotion for a customer who has opted in, except to prevent fraud or similar unlawful behaviour. Neither side gets to rewrite the deal halfway through. More short answers on everyday bonus problems are collected in our casino bonus questions section.
18+ only. Every offer on this page has full terms; read them before you opt in, because that is the last point at which you can choose freely.
What you can and can’t change about a casino bonus

Up to the moment you claim, you are free to choose. Signing up for an account doesn’t commit you to any particular promotion, and many offers need a separate opt-in. That is the stage to compare offers, check the excluded payment methods and decide whether you want a bonus at all. The comparison is worked through in how to choose a welcome bonus.
Read the significant terms shown next to the offer: deposit, qualifying bet, spin value, wagering and deadlines.
Check that your payment method qualifies; e-wallets and prepaid cards are excluded from several welcome offers.
Decide which offer you want before signing up, especially where you must pick at registration.
Opt in or use the designated offer link exactly as the terms say.
Make the qualifying deposit or bet only once you’re sure, because that is usually the point of no return.
Changing between a sports and a casino welcome bonus
A common reason people ask whether they can change their bonus is that they picked the wrong product at sign-up. Since 19 January 2026, Commission rules ban promotions that mix gambling products, so a casino bonus can’t be earned through sports bets and a free bet can’t come from slot play. Brands that run both a sportsbook and a casino now make you choose one welcome offer for one product. See sports or casino welcome offer and the mixed-product promotion ban for the details.
10bet’s offer terms are a clear example: new UK customers choose the casino welcome bonus at sign-up. If you pick the sports option by mistake, contact support before depositing; once the first deposit is made under one offer, the terms decide whether a switch is possible, and you shouldn’t assume it is. Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ casino offers both need a qualifying bet on slots, and PlayOJO is casino-only, so the sports-or-casino question doesn’t arise there in the same way.
Can I change my bonus amount after depositing?
Not by depositing again. Deposit match bonuses are worked out on the qualifying deposit, usually the first deposit, at the moment it is made. Topping up afterwards adds cash to your balance but doesn’t recalculate the bonus. The table shows how each partner offer is fixed by what you do at the start.

Does a later top-up change it?
Casumo
50% of the first deposit, up to £100 (minimum £20)
£20 deposit gives £10; £200 gives £100
No: a second deposit isn’t matched under this offer
10bet
100% of the first deposit, up to £25
£10 gives £10; £25 gives £25
No
Coral
£10+ bet on slots after a qualifying deposit
100 spins at 10p = £10 of spins
No: betting more doesn’t add spins
Ladbrokes
£10+ spent on slots
50 spins a day for 10 days, up to 500 at 10p = up to £50
No: the daily amount is fixed
PlayOJO
First deposit of £10+ via the offer link
80 spins at 10p = £8 of spins
No
If you deposited £20 at Casumo and wish you had deposited £200 for the £100 maximum, that bonus can’t be enlarged afterwards. It’s also worth remembering that a bigger match brings a bigger target: £100 at 10x is £1,000 of wagering, which at a 4% house edge costs about £40 on average. Our page on the 50% deposit bonus runs those numbers.
Cancelling one bonus to take another
Where you have a choice of promotions as an existing customer, you can usually cancel the active one and opt into another later, if you’re eligible. What you can’t do is carry anything across: cancelling removes the bonus balance and any winnings tied to it, and the new offer starts with its own terms. Some casinos also hold several promotions in a bonus queue and activate them one at a time, so the bonus you see first may not be the one you wanted to use first.
Welcome offers are different. They are for new customers only and normally once per person, household or payment method, so cancelling a welcome bonus doesn’t free you to claim a different welcome offer at the same casino. Our answer on claiming two welcome bonuses explains the limits, and should I opt out of a bonus? helps with the decision.
Can the casino change my bonus instead?
Not once you have opted in. Commission guidance treats terms that let a casino vary or withdraw a live promotion as unfair, and the only exception is preventing fraud or similar unlawful behaviour. Licence condition 7.1.1 also requires material changes to general terms to be notified before they take effect. A casino can end an offer for new sign-ups, as Coral’s terms do on 1 February 2027, but that doesn’t affect spins already issued under the old terms.
There is one important exception that isn’t a change of terms: operators must stop marketing and new bonuses to customers showing strong signs of gambling harm. That is a safeguard, not a penalty, and our page on bonuses and harm indicators explains it. For what to do if terms seem to have shifted, see what happens if a casino changes bonus terms.
Fixing a bonus mistake: wrong method, missed opt-in, wrong offer
Most requests to change a bonus are really requests to fix a mistake. The common ones are depositing with an excluded payment method, forgetting to opt in, or using the wrong link. Support teams can sometimes help, but they apply the published terms and there is no right to a fix. Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ offers exclude PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe and prepaid cards, along with certain debit cards at Coral; 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller. Our guide to how payment exclusions work covers why.
Stop before playing further, so the position is easy to explain.
Screenshot the offer page, your deposit record and your bonus area.
Contact support, say exactly what happened and ask whether the bonus can be applied or the deposit treated differently.
Accept that the answer may be no if the terms were shown clearly at the time.
If you think a significant term was hidden, use the formal complaints process.
Changing casino: Coral, Ladbrokes and sister sites
Some people ask whether they can swap one brand’s welcome offer for a sister brand’s. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (part of Entain, UKGC account 54743), and operators often treat brands on the same licence as linked for welcome offers. One person may not be able to hold new-customer status at both, so check both sets of terms before signing up. See sister-site bonus rules and do Coral and Ladbrokes share accounts?.
Opening a second account at the same casino to get a different offer is not a way round this. Terms ban multiple accounts, and breaking that rule can void winnings from both.
Each partner offer below is for UK adults aged 18+, and full terms apply. Because none of them can be changed after claiming, read the key terms first.
Coral: deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games. Accept within 48 hours, use within 7 days; no wagering on spin winnings. Runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Full detail in the Coral bonus terms.
Ladbrokes: deposit and spend £10 or more on slots to get 50 free spins a day for the first 10 days (up to 500), 10p each on selected games. Claim before 23:59 each day; spins last 7 days; no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits don’t qualify.
PlayOJO: first deposit of £10 or more through the designated offer link brings 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza, winnings paid in cash with no wagering. New UK customers only, excluding Northern Ireland, and it can’t be combined with other offers.
Because the Coral and Ladbrokes brands share an operator, check whether you can claim at both before choosing.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I switch to a different welcome bonus after signing up?
Usually only if you haven’t claimed one yet. Welcome offers are for new customers and are generally once per person, so once you have opted in or made the qualifying deposit under one offer, the casino won’t normally swap it for another. If you chose the wrong option at registration, contact support before depositing. Getting it right first time is far easier than changing it later, and our welcome bonus comparison sets the options side by side.
Will the casino move my free spins to a different slot?
No. Casino free spins are issued on a named game or a list of selected games, and the offer terms fix that list. PlayOJO’s welcome spins are on Big Bass Bonanza; Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ spins are on the selected games listed on each promotion page. Support can’t usually move them. If you don’t like the game, you can leave the spins unused and they will expire. See can I choose my free spins slot? for the reasons behind this.
Can I increase my bonus by depositing more?
Not after the qualifying deposit has been made. Match bonuses are calculated once, on the deposit that triggered them. At Casumo, a £20 first deposit brings a £10 bonus, and a later £180 top-up won’t turn it into £100. Decide on your deposit before you make it, and only deposit what fits your budget. Our page on the first deposit bonus explains how the calculation works and why it’s fixed at that point.
Can I swap my casino bonus for a free bet?
No. Since 19 January 2026, UK rules ban promotions that mix gambling products, so a casino bonus can’t be converted into a sports free bet or the other way round. Operators with both products ask you to choose one welcome offer. If you want a sports offer instead, decide before signing up and claiming. The mixed-product promotion ban page explains the rule, the date it came in and what it covers.
Can I cancel my bonus and keep my deposit?
Yes. Your deposit balance is always yours to withdraw under Commission guidance, and cancelling a bonus removes only the bonus funds and any winnings tied to them. Most casinos let you cancel from the bonus area or through live chat. Note the balances before you do it so you can check the result afterwards. Our guide on how to opt out of bonuses covers the process step by step and what to expect afterwards.
Can the casino change my bonus terms after I opt in?
Not for a promotion you’ve already joined, except to prevent fraud or similar unlawful behaviour. The Gambling Commission’s guidance on the right to vary a promotion treats any other change as unfair. A casino can stop offering a promotion to new sign-ups, but that doesn’t affect bonuses already issued. If your terms seem to have changed, keep screenshots and raise it. See can bonus terms change after I opt in? for the full position.
I used PayPal and missed the bonus. Can support change it?
They might look at it, but there is no right to have it changed. Both Entain brands, Coral and Ladbrokes, exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome spins under their offer terms, and support teams apply those terms. Explain what happened politely, attach screenshots and ask whether anything can be done; accept the answer if the exclusion was shown clearly when you signed up. Our page on why PayPal deposits are excluded explains the reasons operators give for the rule.
Could I move from Coral’s offer to Ladbrokes’ instead?
Not as a swap, and you may not be able to claim both. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, part of Entain, and operators often link brands on the same licence for welcome-offer purposes. Each brand’s terms say who counts as a new customer. Read both sets of terms before signing up to either. Our Coral vs Ladbrokes bonus comparison helps you decide which one suits you before you commit.
Is it possible to play my free spins at a higher stake?
No. The value per spin is set by the offer. Coral’s, Ladbrokes’ and PlayOJO’s welcome spins are all 10p each, so the spins can’t be played at 20p or £1 to chase bigger wins. That fixed stake is also what lets you work out the spins’ value: 100 spins at 10p is £10 of spins. Our answer on what stake free spins are played at covers this in detail, with worked examples.
Is it better to change my mind and play without a bonus?
It can be. Playing without a bonus means no wagering, no max-bet limits and no game restrictions, and your winnings are cash straight away. A bonus adds value only if its terms fit how you were going to play anyway. If a bonus is nudging you to deposit more or play longer than planned, opting out is the sensible choice. The guide on when to say no to a bonus goes through the warning signs.
