Casumo bonus terms and conditions

Casumo bonus terms and conditions boil down to six key rules: new customers aged 18+ must opt in, deposit at least £20, receive 50% up to £100, wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, bet no more than £5 at a time, and respect game, play and payment restrictions. Here is what each clause means and where people tend to slip up.

Key takeaways

  • Opt in before you deposit: the bonus is not added automatically.
  • A £20 minimum first deposit applies to the offer, double Casumo's general £10 minimum.
  • Wagering is 10x the bonus within 7 days, with a £5 cap per bet.
  • Payment and game restrictions apply, so read the full terms before choosing a deposit method.
  • UK rules require the significant terms to be clear and shown up front.

Casumo bonus terms and conditions in plain English

Every UK casino bonus has two layers of rules: the short list of significant terms shown next to the offer, and the full promotion and general terms behind them. Casumo's significant terms for its welcome offer are short, and the table below lists each clause with a plain reading. For the offer in context, see our main Casumo casino bonus page; for the general approach to reading terms, our bonus terms explained guide goes clause by clause across the market.

These are the key terms as last checked on 5 October 2026. Casumo's full terms on its website are the binding version, and offers can change. 18+, terms apply.

Who can claim: the eligibility and opt-in clauses

The offer is for new customers aged 18 or over. Age and identity must be checked before you can deposit or gamble, a rule in force since 7 May 2019; see our page on age verification before play. The opt-in clause means the bonus is a choice: if you skip it at sign-up or in the cashier, a later request may not be honoured. Our guide on how to opt in to a bonus shows what this usually looks like.

Welcome offers are normally limited to one per person, household or device, and holding more than one account is a breach of almost every casino's general terms. That is explained on our multi-accounting glossary page. Casumo is run by Recro Limited, which holds UKGC account 61549, so its terms are written under UK rules.

The qualifying deposit clause in Casumo's terms

Casumo's site says its general minimum deposit is £10 for all payment methods, but the welcome offer needs at least £20 on the first deposit. A £10 or £15 first deposit would therefore miss the bonus, and the clause refers to the first deposit only, so a second deposit cannot be used to qualify instead. The detail is on our Casumo minimum deposit page and the general term is defined under qualifying deposit.

The 50% match means the bonus grows with the deposit until £200, where it hits the £100 bonus cap. A £20 deposit gives £10; £60 gives £30; £200 or more gives £100.

Wagering and time limit clauses

The wagering clause asks you to play through the bonus 10 times within 7 days. Ten times is the most any UK-licensed casino can ask for since 19 January 2026. The 7-day period is the tighter constraint: £1,000 of play in a week on the full bonus works out at about £143 a day. Full worked figures are on our Casumo bonus wagering requirements page.

On average, wagering costs the house edge of the games you play. At 96% RTP, £1,000 of slot play costs around £40, leaving the £100 bonus worth about £60 on average. The bonus does not alter the odds of any game, and individual results vary widely.

The £5 max bet clause

While a bonus is active, no single bet may exceed £5. This is one of the most common ways bonuses are lost, because it applies to every bet, including a single over-limit spin late in the week. Separately, UK law limits online slot stakes to £5 per spin for players aged 25+ and £2 for those aged 18 to 24. More examples are on our Casumo bonus max bet page.

Game, play and payment restrictions explained

The significant terms bundle three restrictions into one line. Each one points to detail in the full terms.

  • Game restrictions: which games can be played with the bonus and how much each counts towards wagering. See Casumo bonus eligible games.
  • Play restrictions: betting patterns the casino treats as against the spirit of the bonus, often called irregular play. The Gambling Commission expects prohibited play to be clearly specified rather than left to the operator's judgement.
  • Payment restrictions: deposit methods that do not qualify for the bonus. Casumo's offer says payment restrictions apply but the summary does not name the methods, so check the full terms. Our Casumo payment methods page explains how to check.

We do not give tips for getting round any of these. Breaking a restriction usually means the bonus and its winnings are removed, which is covered in what happens if I break bonus terms.

What UK rules say Casumo's bonus terms must do

Bonus terms are not just a contract the casino writes as it likes. Since the CMA's 2018 undertakings, and in the Gambling Commission's guidance, several protections apply to every licensed operator:

You can read the regulator's own wording on transparency of significant terms (opens in a new tab), on changing a promotion after opt-in (opens in a new tab) and on terms giving undue discretion (opens in a new tab). The ASA's advice on promotional terms and conditions (opens in a new tab) sets the same expectation for adverts. Our CMA bonus principles page summarises them.

How to read the Casumo bonus terms before you deposit

  1. Open the welcome offer's significant terms and the link to the full promotion terms.
  2. Note the minimum deposit (£20), the 50% rate and the £100 cap, and decide on a deposit you are comfortable losing.
  3. Find the list of excluded payment methods and make sure your chosen method is not on it.
  4. Find the game contribution list and the excluded games.
  5. Write down the 7-day deadline and the £5 max bet.
  6. Look for any cap on winnings from the bonus; our checked key terms do not list one, so confirm in the full terms.
  7. Only then opt in and deposit.

Our casino bonus checklist turns these steps into a printable list.

Terms people commonly miss on the Casumo bonus

Most lost bonuses come from a handful of clauses rather than from anything hidden. In the Casumo offer the likeliest slips are a first deposit under £20, forgetting to opt in, depositing with a method the terms exclude, one bet over £5, and running out of the 7 days. Our list of bonus mistakes covers these and more across UK casinos.

If you think a term was applied unfairly, complain to Casumo first; the Commission's guidance gives a business 8 weeks to resolve a complaint before you can go to an independent ADR provider. Our page on Casumo bonus complaints walks through that process.

How Casumo's terms compare with a no-wagering offer

Shorter terms are not automatically better terms, but fewer conditions do mean fewer chances to slip up. PlayOJO's welcome offer has a different shape entirely: 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each (£8 of spins) on a first deposit of £10 or more, with no wagering, for new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland, 18+. It can't be combined with other offers and must be claimed through the designated offer link.

Claiming the Casumo bonus on these terms

The Casumo offer box below links to the welcome bonus described here: 18+, new customers, opt-in required, 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20, bonus wagered 10x within 7 days, max £5 per bet, game, play and payment restrictions apply. Read the full terms on Casumo's site, which is the binding version.

PlayOJO is listed second as the closest alternative for anyone who prefers no wagering: 80 spins at 10p on a first deposit of £10+, new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland, 18+, terms apply. Whichever you choose, set a deposit limit first and treat the bonus as extra entertainment rather than a way to make money.

Frequently asked questions

What are the main Casumo bonus terms and conditions?

The key terms are: 18+, new customers only, opt-in required, a first deposit of at least £20, a 50% bonus up to £100, wagering of 10x the bonus within 7 days, and a £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active. Game, play and payment restrictions also apply and are set out in the full terms on Casumo's website. Our Casumo casino bonus review puts these terms in context with worked examples.

Do I need a promo code for the Casumo bonus?

No, a promo code is not part of the offer terms we track; you opt in to the welcome bonus instead. The opt-in usually happens at sign-up or in the cashier before your first deposit, and missing it can mean no bonus. If a website shows a Casumo code, check whether it matches what Casumo's own site says. Our Casumo promo code page explains this in more detail, and do casino bonuses need a code covers the general rule.

Is there a maximum win on the Casumo bonus?

Our checked key terms for the Casumo welcome offer do not list a cap on bonus winnings, but that does not prove none exists. The full promotion terms are the place to confirm it, so check them before you deposit. Some UK bonuses do cap what can be won from bonus funds; 10bet, for instance, caps bonus winnings at £1,000. Our guide to casino bonus max win explains how such caps work and where they usually appear.

Can Casumo change the bonus terms after I opt in?

Gambling Commission guidance says an operator should not change or withdraw a promotion to your disadvantage once you have taken it up. Casumo can change the offer for future customers, which is why terms are dated and should be checked when you claim. If a term seems to have changed after you opted in, raise it with Casumo and keep a screenshot. Our page on what happens if a casino changes bonus terms explains your options.

Which payment methods are excluded from the Casumo bonus?

The offer states that payment restrictions apply, but the significant terms we checked do not name the excluded methods. Casumo accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard, Skrill and Instant Banking for deposits, and the welcome offer's full terms say which of these qualify. E-wallets and prepaid vouchers are often excluded from UK welcome offers, so check before depositing. Our Casumo payment methods page explains how.

What counts as breaking the Casumo bonus terms?

Common breaches include betting more than £5 while the bonus is active, playing games the terms exclude, using an excluded deposit method, holding more than one account, or betting patterns the terms define as prohibited play. The usual result is that the bonus and winnings from it are removed. UK guidance expects prohibited play to be specified clearly in the terms. See what happens if I break bonus terms and our glossary entry on bonus abuse.

How long is the Casumo bonus valid?

The wagering must be completed within 7 days, according to the offer terms. On a £10 bonus that is £100 of play; on the full £100 bonus it is £1,000. The terms will say what happens to the bonus if the deadline passes, and normally the unused bonus and its winnings are removed. Your deposited money stays yours. Our Casumo bonus expiry page goes through the timing in detail.

Are Casumo's bonus terms fair under UK rules?

Casumo's key terms sit within the UK rules: 10x wagering is the legal maximum since 19 January 2026, and the £5 max bet matches the stake limit for over-25s. Fairness also depends on how clearly the full terms explain restrictions and how they are applied. If you believe a term was applied unfairly, complain to Casumo, then to an approved ADR provider after 8 weeks. Our guide on how to spot unfair bonus terms lists warning signs.

Can I play live casino with the Casumo bonus?

That depends on the game restrictions in Casumo's full terms; the significant terms only say that game restrictions apply. On many UK bonuses live and table games either don't count towards wagering or count at a reduced rate. Check the contribution list before playing, since a low-weighted game makes the target much harder to reach within 7 days. Our pages on using a bonus on live casino and Casumo eligible games explain more.

Can Northern Ireland players claim the Casumo bonus?

Check Casumo's terms, because our checked key terms don't mention Northern Ireland. The Gambling Act 2005 and the Gambling Commission's rules cover Great Britain, not Northern Ireland, so UKGC protections should not be assumed there. PlayOJO's welcome offer, for example, specifically excludes Northern Ireland. Our guide to bonuses for Northern Ireland players explains the legal position and what to check.
