A no max win bonus is an offer whose terms put no ceiling on what you can win from the bonus or its spins. Of our five partners, only 10bet's key terms list a cap (£1,000 of bonus winnings); the key terms we hold for the other four don't mention one, though that's not the same as a promise. Here is how winnings caps work and how to spot them.
A max win cap limits what you can keep from bonus play; anything above it is removed when the bonus ends.
10bet's 100% up to £25 bonus caps bonus winnings at £1,000, which is 40 times the largest bonus. 18+, terms apply.
The key terms for Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and Casumo don't list a winnings cap, but always read the full terms.
Every spin still has a ceiling: the slot's own max win, such as 2,100x stake on Big Bass Bonanza, or £210 on a 10p spin.
A UK casino can't cap withdrawals from your own deposit balance, but a cap on bonus winnings is a different thing.

What a no max win bonus is
Most casino bonuses come with a list of limits: how much you can stake, how long you have, which games count. One of the less obvious limits is a maximum win, sometimes called a max cashout or a cap on bonus winnings. It sets the most you can turn into withdrawable cash from bonus play. A no max win bonus is simply an offer without that line in its terms.
The cap matters far less often than the headline suggests, because most bonus sessions never get near it. It matters a great deal on the rare occasion a high-volatility slot lands a big feature during bonus play, which is exactly when a player most wants to keep the result. That is why it's worth knowing whether a cap exists before you opt in, rather than discovering it at the cashier. Our hub of bonus types places this term among the other ways bonuses are structured, and the casino bonus max win page covers caps in general.
Is there a no max win bonus at our UK partners?
No partner of ours advertises an offer as “no max win”. What we can say is which partners' key terms include a winnings cap and which don't. Missing from the key terms doesn't prove there's no cap, because full terms can contain more detail, so treat the table as a starting point for your own check.

So the closest you'll get to a no max win bonus among our partners is one of the three no-wagering spin offers, where the key terms list no cap and winnings are paid as cash. Even then, the slot itself sets a ceiling on each spin, which the section on game limits explains.
Max win, max cashout and withdrawal limits: three different caps
Three similar-sounding limits get mixed up in bonus terms. Only one of them is what a no max win bonus removes.

The Gambling Commission's guidance on maximum withdrawal limits (opens in a new tab) says operators can't cap how much a customer withdraws from their deposit balance; its example of a banned term is “You may withdraw up to £50 per day and up to £500 per week”. That guidance doesn't address caps on bonus winnings, which remain a matter of clear, fair terms. Our glossary entries on withdrawal limits and the bonus cap explain each in turn.
How a bonus max win cap is applied
Casinos apply caps in slightly different ways, so the exact wording matters. The usual sequence is below.
You opt in and the bonus is credited to a separate bonus balance, shown apart from your own cash as UK rules require.
You play through the wagering requirement, if there is one, within the time allowed.
When wagering completes, the casino works out how much of your balance came from bonus play.
If that amount is above the cap, the excess is removed and the capped amount becomes cash.
Your own deposit and any winnings made from it are never subject to the bonus cap.
The fourth step is where definitions matter. Some terms cap “bonus winnings” only, some cap the total converted, including the bonus amount itself. If the wording is ambiguous, the Consumer Rights Act says the meaning most favourable to the consumer should apply. Our guide to how bonus funds and cash are used explains how the two balances interact.
Worked examples: when a max win cap actually bites
Take 10bet's offer. Deposit £25 and you get a £25 bonus, which must be wagered 10 times (£250) on slots within 3 days. At a 4% house edge, £250 of wagering costs about £10 on average, leaving roughly £15 of the bonus on average when the wagering finishes. Bonus winnings are capped at £1,000.

Two lessons come out of this. First, the cap is 40 times the largest bonus, so it only touches rare outcomes; on an average result it costs nothing. Second, when it does apply, it can remove a lot. If keeping an unusually large result matters to you, that is the scenario to check for, and the 10bet terms page goes through the clause. For a sense of what counts as a reasonable ceiling, see what is a fair max cashout.
These figures are averages and illustrations, not predictions. Most bonus play ends below the starting bonus, and bonuses don't change a slot's odds.
The slot's own max win: a ceiling even on a no max win bonus
Every slot has a maximum payout written into its rules, usually expressed as a multiple of the stake. That ceiling applies to free spins from any offer, whether or not the offer has a cap of its own. At a fixed 10p a spin, it puts a hard limit on what one spin can return.

PlayOJO's 80 spins are played on Big Bass Bonanza, which Pragmatic Play (opens in a new tab) distributes for Reel Kingdom, so the most any single one of those spins can pay is £210 at 10p. The other games in the table are examples of how widely ceilings vary, not a list of games our partners' spins run on; Coral's and Ladbrokes' offers list their own selected games, so check the promotion page. Our Big Bass Bonanza free spins and Starburst free spins pages look at each game in detail, and free spins max win explains spin caps more broadly.
No max win and no wagering: why they often go together
Caps on winnings and wagering requirements both exist to limit what a casino pays out from a promotion. Wager-free spin offers usually limit cost a different way: by fixing the number of spins and the stake. With 100 spins at 10p, the casino knows its outlay is £10 of play and the average return is about £9.60 at 96% RTP. A large win is possible but rare, and the slot's own maximum already sets an upper bound.
That's why the no-wagering spin offers at PlayOJO, Coral and Ladbrokes come closest to “keep what you win”. The guide to free spins where you keep what you win explains the idea, and no wagering bonus covers wager-free offers beyond spins. Match bonuses with wagering, such as Casumo's and 10bet's, rely more on the wagering and, at 10bet, the cap.
UK rules on max win caps in bonus terms
There is no UK rule that bans a cap on bonus winnings. There are rules on how any such cap must be presented and applied.
Shown up front. The Gambling Commission's transparency guidance (opens in a new tab) says significant terms must be clear and prominent with the headline offer and on sign-up pages, and putting them only in general terms and conditions isn't enough. A winnings cap that changes an offer's value is the sort of key restriction this covers. See our significant terms entry.
Not changed after opt-in. Operators mustn't vary or withdraw a promotion for someone who has opted in, except to prevent fraud or similar unlawful behaviour.
Your own money is untouched. You can withdraw your deposit balance at any time during bonus play, and no withdrawal cap may apply to it.
Wagering capped at 10x. Since 19 January 2026, any wagering can't exceed 10 times the bonus.
It's a useful feature, but it shouldn't be the main reason to pick an offer. Caps only matter on rare results, and choosing a bonus because it might pay a very large sum is a way of thinking about gambling as a route to a big win, which it isn't. The wagering, the time limit, the qualifying payment methods and the spin value affect every player who claims; the cap affects very few.
Advantages
Nothing removed if you do land an unusually large result.
Terms are simpler to read and value.
Often paired with no wagering on spin offers.
Drawbacks
The slot's own max win still caps each spin.
No-cap offers can be smaller in face value.
An absent cap in key terms still needs checking in the full terms.
If you want a bonus with the fewest strings overall, compare the expected value of a casino bonus rather than the theoretical top prize.

Frequently asked questions
What does no max win mean on a casino bonus?
It means the offer's terms set no limit on how much you can keep from bonus play or bonus spins. Whatever you win, subject to wagering and the other conditions, can be converted to cash. It doesn't remove the slot's own maximum payout, which still caps every spin. No partner of ours markets an offer as no max win, but the key terms for PlayOJO's, Coral's and Ladbrokes' spin offers list no cap. The glossary entry on max cashout explains the opposite case.
Does 10bet's bonus have a max win?
Yes. 10bet's welcome bonus, a 100% match up to £25 for new UK customers aged 18 or over, caps bonus winnings at £1,000. The bonus must be wagered 10 times on slots within 3 days, and Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded. On a £25 bonus, the cap is 40 times the bonus amount, so it only affects unusually large results. The 10bet casino bonus page sets out the full key terms.
Do free spins have a max win?
Every free spin is limited by the slot's own maximum payout, and some offers add a separate cap on total spin winnings. On Big Bass Bonanza the game's max win is 2,100 times the stake, so a 10p spin can pay at most £210. The key terms for PlayOJO's, Coral's and Ladbrokes' spin offers don't list an extra cap, but check the full terms before you play. Our free spins max win page explains both limits.
Can a UK casino legally cap bonus winnings?
Yes, as long as the cap is clear, fair and shown up front with the other significant terms. What a UK casino can't do is cap withdrawals from your own deposit balance, or change a promotion's terms after you've opted in except to prevent fraud. If a cap was hidden or applied unfairly, you can complain to the casino and then to an independent dispute service. The unfair terms page explains how the Consumer Rights Act applies to bonus terms.
Is a max win cap the same as a withdrawal limit?
No. A max win cap limits how much of your bonus play can become cash. A withdrawal limit restricts how much you can take out in a period. Gambling Commission guidance says operators mustn't cap withdrawals from your deposit balance; a cap on bonus winnings is treated separately and must simply be clear and fair. Many casinos also have practical limits by payment method, so check the cashier. Our withdrawal limit glossary entry sets out the differences.
What happens to winnings above the cap?
They are normally removed from your balance when the bonus converts to cash, leaving the capped amount as withdrawable money. For example, if 10bet's bonus play ended with £1,600 and the whole amount counted as bonus winnings, £1,000 would be paid and £600 removed. Your own deposit and winnings made from it are not affected. Exactly what counts towards the cap depends on the wording, so read the clause. The page on what happens to a bonus when you withdraw covers related situations.
Are no max win bonuses better?
They're slightly better in the rare case of a very large win and no different the rest of the time. Wagering, time limits, max bet and payment exclusions affect everyone who claims, while a cap affects a small number of results. Pick an offer on its overall terms, not on its theoretical top prize, and remember that bonuses don't change a slot's odds. Our guide to whether a casino bonus is worth it lays out the main questions to ask before you opt in.
Does PlayOJO have a max win on its free spins?
PlayOJO's key offer terms don't list a cap: the 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p have no wagering, and winnings are paid in cash. The game itself has a maximum of 2,100 times the stake, so no single 10p spin can pay more than £210. The offer is for new UK customers aged 18 or over, excluding Northern Ireland, on a first deposit of at least £10. Read the PlayOJO free spins winnings page for how payouts work.
What is a fair max win on a casino bonus?
There's no official figure, but a cap that's a high multiple of the bonus, clearly shown with the headline offer, is easier to justify than a low one buried in the small print. 10bet's £1,000 cap on a bonus of up to £25 is 40 times the largest bonus. A cap of a few times the bonus would restrict far more outcomes. The Gambling Commission expects significant terms to be prominent. Our page on what a fair max cashout is goes into more detail.
Can a jackpot win from free spins be capped?
It can if the offer terms cap spin winnings, and jackpot games are sometimes excluded from bonus play altogether. Many offers run on a fixed list of games for this reason, and jackpot slots are commonly left off it. Check the selected games list and any cap before playing. Remember that progressive jackpots are extremely unlikely to land on any single spin. Our page on what happens if free spins hit a jackpot explains how casinos handle it.
