A mobile vs desktop bonus comparison usually ends in a draw: at our five partner casinos the welcome offer, its wagering and its expiry are the same whether you sign up on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. What changes is the journey around the offer, from the payment buttons you see to how easily you can read the terms.
None of our partners' listed welcome offers is limited to the app or to desktop; the same terms apply on every device.
UK rules travel with you: the 10x wagering cap, £5/£2 slot stake limits and age checks apply on phones and computers alike.
Phone wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are the main mobile difference; check the offer's excluded payment list before depositing.
A bigger screen helps with long terms and wagering trackers; a phone suits daily spin drops with a claim deadline.
18+, terms apply. Bonuses don't change the house edge on any device.

Mobile vs desktop bonus: the short answer
There is no separate mobile bonus and desktop bonus at any of our partners. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet each publish one welcome offer for new UK customers, and the offer terms don't say it works only in the app or only on a computer. You open one account, and that account carries the same bonus, the same balance and the same deadlines whichever screen you log in from.
So the useful question isn't which device pays more. It's which device makes it easier to claim the offer correctly, keep track of its conditions and stop when you mean to. That depends on the kind of bonus. Our broader guide to the mobile casino bonus covers phone-only offers across the market; this page puts the two devices side by side for the offers we actually list, and the compare hub has the other head-to-head pages.
18+ only. Every offer on this page has terms, including deposit, stake, eligible game and expiry conditions. Gambling costs money, and the house edge applies whether you play on a phone or a laptop.
What stays the same on mobile and desktop
Most of what decides a bonus's worth is fixed by the offer terms and by Gambling Commission rules, and neither knows what device you're holding. The 10x wagering cap has applied to every bonus since 19 January 2026, the online slot stake limits of £5 per spin for over-25s and £2 for 18–24s apply in apps and browsers, and the slot design rules mean no autoplay and at least 2.5 seconds per spin on any screen.

That last row trips people up. If Coral's 100 free spins (after a £10 slots bet) land on your account while you're on a laptop, the 48 hours to accept them and the 7 days to use them keep counting while you're away from the laptop. Logging in on your phone shows the same spins and the same countdown, which is useful if you'd otherwise miss the window.
Where the mobile vs desktop bonus journey differs
The differences are practical rather than financial, and most of them sit around the edges of the offer.
Payment buttons. Phones show Apple Pay or Google Pay at the cashier; a desktop browser may not. Wallets matter because some welcome offers exclude certain payment types.
Reading space. Full terms can run to dozens of clauses. On a phone you scroll through them in a narrow column; on a desktop you can keep the terms open beside the promotions page.
Separate apps. Coral and Ladbrokes publish casino apps that are separate from their sportsbook apps, while Casumo and 10bet use one combined casino and sports app, according to their App Store listings.
Logging in. Casumo's iOS listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login. The other listings don't mention it, so check in the app.
Location data. The app privacy labels for several partners mention location data; a desktop browser may ask for location separately, or not at all.
None of these changes the value of the offer. They change how likely you are to claim it the way the terms require, which is where most lost bonuses go wrong. Our list of common bonus mistakes shows how often a payment method or a missed deadline is the cause.
Partner casino apps compared for claiming a bonus
All five partners have apps on the App Store and Google Play. The table below uses the store listings as published in October 2026; requirements change with app updates, so check the listing before you download.
Apple Pay, Google Pay and bonus eligibility on mobile
The single biggest mobile-specific risk is paying with a method the offer doesn't accept. Coral's offer excludes Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards. Ladbrokes' offer excludes prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits. Neither list names Apple Pay or Google Pay, but both offers say certain deposit types are excluded, so read the current list before you tap a wallet button.

Google Pay withdrawals at Coral and Ladbrokes go back to the card underneath the wallet, according to their help centres. Our pages on the Apple Pay casino bonus and the Google Pay casino bonus go method by method, and the guide to how payment exclusions work explains why e-wallets are so often left out.
Reading bonus terms on a phone screen
Gambling Commission guidance says significant terms must be shown with the headline offer and the full terms must be no more than one click away. That applies on mobile too, but one click on a phone can open a long page in small type. Our significant terms box guide explains what should be in the short summary, and our bonus terms explained page goes clause by clause.
On a phone, look for these five lines first: the minimum deposit or qualifying bet, the excluded payment methods, the eligible games, the expiry, and any wagering with its maximum bet. If any of those is missing from the summary, open the full terms before depositing rather than after.
How to claim a welcome bonus on mobile
Download the casino's own app from the App Store or Google Play, or open its mobile website from a search result you trust.
Register with your real name, address and date of birth; age and identity checks happen before you can deposit or play.
Set a deposit limit when prompted. Since 31 October 2025 the prompt appears before your first deposit.
Open the promotions page in the app and check the offer's excluded payment methods before picking a wallet or card.
Opt in if the offer asks you to, then deposit and place the qualifying bet on an eligible game.
Check the bonus or rewards area for your spins or bonus balance and note the expiry date.
The order matters more on mobile because the deposit button is often one tap away from the sign-up screen. Our six-step how to claim guide covers the same process for any device.
When desktop is the better place to claim
Desktop earns its place with match bonuses, because they carry wagering you need to track. Casumo's 50% bonus up to £100 must be wagered 10x within 7 days with a £5 maximum bet. Deposit £200 and you get a £100 bonus with £1,000 of wagering; at a 4% house edge that wagering costs about £40 on average. A wide screen makes it easier to keep the wagering progress display, the terms and your own notes visible together.
10bet's 100% bonus up to £25 needs 10x wagering on slots within 3 days: a £25 bonus means £250 of play in 72 hours. That's the same on both devices, but a short deadline is easier to manage when you can see the clock and the game rules without switching tabs. The wagering calculator works in any browser.
Worked example: one bonus, two devices
Take Ladbrokes' offer: play £10 on slots and get 50 free spins a day for up to 10 days, 10p each, to be claimed before 23:59 each day and used within 7 days. The full 500 spins are worth up to £50 of spins. At a typical 96% RTP they would return about £48 on average over many players, with no wagering on the winnings. Individual results vary widely.

The offer is identical in each row. The difference comes from whether you're near a device that can claim before the 23:59 deadline. If daily log-ins feel like pressure to play, that's a reason to choose a one-off offer instead; our comparison of daily vs one-off free spins looks at that trade-off.
App-only bonuses: do they beat desktop offers?
Some casinos advertise promotions available only in their app, usually small extras for existing customers. They must follow the same rules as any other incentive: clear terms, a 10x wagering ceiling and no mixing of casino and betting products in one offer. None of our partners' listed welcome offers is app-only. Our page on the app-only bonus explains how such offers work in general, and bonus on app vs website compares the two channels at the same brand.
A device-exclusive promotion isn't automatically better value. Judge it the same way: spin value or bonus size, minus the cost of any wagering, within the time you actually have.
Safer gambling tools on phones and computers
Phones make it easy to play in short bursts throughout the day, which can add up. Every UK-licensed casino must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and the tools work across devices because they sit on the account. PlayOJO's app listing names Safe Mate, Take A Break and deposit limits; 10bet's names deposit limits, breaks and self-exclusion. A reality check reminder is worth turning on if you play on the move, and our guide to setting deposit limits walks through the steps.
GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab) blocks you from UK-licensed gambling websites and apps for the period you choose. For free, confidential support, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare and open 24/7.

Frequently asked questions
Is a mobile casino bonus bigger than a desktop bonus?
No, not at our five partner casinos. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet each publish one welcome offer, and the offer terms don't make it larger in the app or on a computer. The deposit, the spin value, the wagering and the expiry are the same on every device because they're attached to your account rather than the screen. Some casinos run small app-only extras for existing customers, but even those must follow the 10x wagering cap. Our mobile casino bonus page covers phone offers in more detail.
Can I claim a bonus on my phone and use it on my laptop?
Yes, in general a bonus claimed on one device shows on any other device you log in from, because it sits on your account. Free spins credited after an app sign-up can usually be played in the desktop lobby, and the expiry clock keeps running either way. Some games may not appear in every lobby, so check that the eligible game is available where you plan to play. Our answer to do free spins work on the app explains the usual pattern and what to do if spins don't appear.
Does Apple Pay count for a casino welcome bonus?
It depends on the offer, so read the excluded payment list first. Coral and Ladbrokes accept Apple Pay deposits, and neither offer names Apple Pay among its listed exclusions, but both say certain deposit types don't qualify. PlayOJO names Apple Pay on its help page. Casumo also lists Apple Pay as a deposit method, alongside game, play and payment restrictions on its bonus. If in doubt, ask live chat before depositing. Our Apple Pay casino bonus page goes through each partner's position.
Do UK bonus rules apply to casino apps?
Yes. Gambling Commission rules apply to the account and the licence, not to the device. Since 19 January 2026, bonus wagering is capped at 10 times the bonus in apps and on websites alike. The £5 per spin limit for players aged 25 and over and the £2 limit for 18–24s cover slots in apps, and the design rules banning autoplay and turbo spins apply too. You'll also be asked to set a financial limit before your first deposit. Our 10x wagering cap page explains the main bonus rule in full.
Why can't I install the Coral or Ladbrokes casino app?
The most likely reason is your phone's software version. According to the App Store listings checked in October 2026, the Coral and Ladbrokes casino apps need iOS 18.0 or later, while PlayOJO and Casumo need iOS 15.0 and 10bet needs iOS 16.0. If your phone can't update, you can still register and claim the welcome offer through the mobile website, which carries the same terms. Both apps are rated 18+ in the stores. Our Coral app bonus page has more on the app itself.
Is it safer to claim a bonus on desktop?
Neither device is safer in itself, because the same licence, verification checks and safer gambling tools apply to both. The difference is in habits. Phones make quick sessions easy, which can stretch your playing time without you noticing. Desktop sessions tend to be more deliberate. Whichever you use, set a deposit limit, consider a reality check reminder, and use time-outs if you want a break. Our guide to setting deposit limits shows where these tools live in a typical account.
Do free spins expire faster on mobile?
No. Expiry is set in the offer terms and runs in real time, regardless of the device. Coral's 100 free spins (after a £10 slots bet) must be accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days. Ladbrokes' daily spins must be claimed before 23:59 each day and are valid for 7 days. A phone can help you meet those windows, simply because it's usually with you. Our free spins expiry page compares deadlines across offers and explains what happens to unused spins.
Can I play bonus spins on a tablet?
Usually, yes. Tablets run either the casino's app or its mobile website, and a bonus on your account appears there as it would on a phone. The App Store listings for Coral and Ladbrokes say their apps also run on iPad with iPadOS 18.0 or later. Check that the eligible game opens on your tablet before the spins start counting down. The answer to can I play free spins on any device covers phones, tablets and computers together.
Which device is better for wagering a match bonus?
Desktop is usually easier for match bonuses because there's more to track. Casumo's 50% bonus up to £100 must be wagered 10x within 7 days with a £5 maximum bet, and 10bet's 100% bonus up to £25 needs 10x wagering on slots within 3 days. On a wide screen you can keep the wagering progress, terms and game rules visible at once. The amount of wagering is the same on any device, and so is its average cost. Our wagering requirements guide explains the maths.
Are app-only bonuses worth more than normal offers?
Not automatically. An app-only promotion has to be judged like any other: what it's worth in spins or bonus money, what wagering it carries and how long you have. Since 19 January 2026 no UK offer can require more than 10x wagering, whether it's app-only or not. None of our partners' welcome offers is app-only. Treat a device-exclusive label as a marketing detail rather than a sign of value. Our app-only bonus page explains how these promotions are usually set up.
