Free spins on mobile

Free spins on mobile work the same way as on a computer: you meet the offer's deposit or bet condition, the spins land in your account and you play them on the named slot, in the casino's app or your phone's browser. None of our partners runs a mobile-only spins offer. The things to check are the app, the payment method and the offer's exclusions.

Key takeaways

  • Spins are credited to your account, not your device, so they're available in the app and the mobile browser alike.
  • None of our partners has a mobile-exclusive spins offer; the same terms apply on every device.
  • Check that your phone payment method qualifies: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, prepaid cards and some e-wallets.
  • UK slot design rules apply equally on phones: no autoplay, no turbo and at least 2.5 seconds per spin. 18+, terms apply.

How free spins on mobile work

Spins are attached to your casino account, not to the device you happen to be holding. If you qualify on a laptop, the spins are waiting when you open the app on your phone, and the reverse is true too. What changes on mobile is the route: you might sign up through an app store download, deposit with a phone wallet and play the spins on a smaller screen.

This page sits under our free spins hub. For deposit-match offers on phones, see the wider mobile casino bonus page, and for offers that are only available inside an app, see app-only bonuses.

Free spins mobile apps from our partners

All three casinos with spins offers on this page have iOS and Android apps. The App Store details below are taken from each app's UK store listing as it stood on 20 October 2026:

Ladbrokes CasinoLadbrokes Casino Games & SlotsiOS 18.0 or laterYes, separate from the sportsbook appLadbrokes Casino Slots & Games, PEGI 18

Older iPhones that can't run iOS 18 won't install the Coral or Ladbrokes casino apps, but you can still use the casino through the phone's browser. You can see the requirements on the Coral Casino App Store listing (opens in a new tab) and the PlayOJO App Store listing (opens in a new tab). Our brand app pages cover each one: Coral app, Ladbrokes app and PlayOJO app.

How to claim free spins on mobile, step by step

  1. Download the casino's official app from the App Store or Google Play, or open its site in your phone's browser.
  2. Register with your real details and complete the age and identity checks.
  3. Set a deposit limit when prompted; UK casinos must offer this before your first deposit.
  4. Opt in to the offer if the terms ask you to.
  5. Deposit with a payment method that qualifies for the offer, then make any qualifying slots bet.
  6. Find the spins in the app's bonus or rewards area and play them on the listed slot before they expire.

The order matters on a phone because the deposit screen is often a single tap away from the sign-up form. Reading the payment exclusions before step 5 avoids the most common reason spins don't arrive. Step 4 is covered in our guide to opting in to a bonus.

Mobile payment methods and spins eligibility

Phones make it easy to pay with whatever wallet is set up, which is exactly where spins offers catch people out. Each offer publishes its own exclusions:

Payment exclusions on partner spins offers (offer terms as at 5 October 2026)
OfferExcluded from qualifyingNot on the published exclusion list
Coral: 100 spins after £10 slots betNeteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards, certain debit cardsApple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank aren't named; check the full terms
Ladbrokes: up to 500 spinsPrepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill, MoneybookersApple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank aren't named; check the full terms
PlayOJO: 80 spins after £10 first depositNo exclusion list in the offer summary; check the full termsDebit cards, Payz, Apple Pay and Trustly are named on PlayOJO's help page

Phone wallets pay through a card stored on the device. Apple says it doesn't store your original card number and uses a separate device account number, as explained in its Apple Pay security overview (opens in a new tab). Because the money still comes from a card, a credit card added to a wallet can't be used for gambling in Great Britain. Coral's exclusion of 'certain debit cards' also means it's worth checking which card sits behind your wallet. Our Apple Pay casino bonus and Google Pay casino bonus pages go into each wallet, and how payment exclusions work explains why casinos exclude some methods.

What mobile free spins are worth

The device makes no difference to value. Spins are worth the number of spins × the stake, and the average return depends on the slot's RTP:

  • PlayOJO: 80 × 10p = £8 of spins on Big Bass Bonanza. At the game's published 96.71% RTP that averages about £7.74, paid as cash with no wagering.
  • Coral: 100 × 10p = £10 of spins. At 96% RTP that averages about £9.60, with no wagering on winnings.
  • Ladbrokes: up to 500 × 10p = up to £50 of spins across 10 days. At 96% RTP that averages about £48 if you claim all ten days, with no wagering.

These are long-run averages. On any day, a batch of spins can pay much less or much more, and the house edge applies to every spin. Ladbrokes' daily structure suits mobile well because each day's 50 spins must be claimed before 23:59, but it also means opening the app every day for ten days. The daily free spins page looks at that trade-off.

App or mobile browser for free spins?

Advantages

  • Apps can keep you logged in and open games quickly
  • Some apps support phone wallets directly in the cashier
  • Browser play needs no download and works on older phones

Drawbacks

  • Coral and Ladbrokes apps need iOS 18 or later
  • Apps make it easier to play more often than you planned
  • Notifications can push promotions; you control these in your settings

Both routes reach the same account and the same spins. If an offer says 'app only', the terms will say so; otherwise, choose whichever suits you. Our comparison of bonuses on an app or website goes further.

UK rules that apply to free spins on mobile

Slots on phones follow exactly the same rules as on desktop. Since 31 October 2021 there has been no autoplay, a minimum of 2.5 seconds per spin and no turbo or slam-stop. Since 2025, stake limits of £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds have applied. Our slot game design rules page sets out the detail.

Phone signal, crashes and unfinished spins

Mobile play brings one practical risk desktop rarely has: a dropped signal mid-spin. Game results are generally settled on the casino's or studio's systems rather than on your phone, so reopening the game usually shows the outcome, but the game's own rules on interrupted play are what count. Check the help screen, and contact support if a spin seems to have disappeared. The guide to what happens if a game crashes during free spins covers the usual approach.

Free spins offers by text and app notification

Since 1 May 2025, casinos must ask you to opt in to marketing separately for each product and channel, with opting out as the default. That means spins offers by SMS or email should only reach you if you said yes. If you no longer want them, change your preferences in the app. The page on marketing consent rules explains the rule, and SMS bonuses covers offers sent by text.

A text offering spins from a site you've never used, or with a shortened link, may not be genuine. Go to the casino's app or site directly instead of tapping the link.

Keeping mobile play under control

Phones make gambling available at any moment, which is convenient and also the main risk. Use the safer-gambling tools UK-licensed casinos provide, such as deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion; many also offer reality checks. PlayOJO's app listing names Safe Mate, Take A Break and Deposit Limits. The guide to setting deposit limits shows how. Turning off promotional notifications is also a simple way to reduce prompts to play.

Frequently asked questions

Can I claim free spins on my phone?

Yes. Spins offers from UK-licensed casinos can be claimed in the casino's app or through your phone's browser, and the terms are the same as on a computer. You still need to register, pass age and identity checks, and meet the deposit or bet condition with a payment method that qualifies. None of our partners runs a separate mobile-only spins offer. Our page on whether free spins work on the app covers the details for each type of offer.

Do free spins claimed on desktop work on mobile?

Yes, in normal cases. Spins belong to your account, so if you qualify on a computer they should appear when you log in on your phone, inside the app or the mobile site. The named slot must be available on mobile, which most modern slots are. If the spins don't show, check that you're logged in to the same account and that the claim window hasn't closed. See can I play free spins on any device? for more.

Can I use Apple Pay to get free spins?

Often, but check each offer. Coral's and Ladbrokes' spins terms list excluded methods such as PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards; Apple Pay isn't named, but Coral also excludes 'certain debit cards', so the card behind your wallet matters. PlayOJO's help page names Apple Pay among its payment methods. A credit card added to Apple Pay can't be used for gambling in Great Britain. Our Apple Pay casino bonus page goes through each partner.

Are there mobile-only free spins offers?

Some casinos run app-only promotions, but none of our partners' welcome spins offers is mobile-only. PlayOJO, Coral and Ladbrokes apply the same offer and terms on any device. If you see an 'app exclusive' spins deal elsewhere, the terms should state that clearly, along with the usual significant conditions: deposit, stake per spin, wagering and expiry. The app-only bonuses page explains how these offers are structured and what to look for in their terms.

What iPhone do I need for casino apps with free spins?

It depends on the app. The App Store listings show that Coral's and Ladbrokes' casino apps need iOS 18.0 or later, while PlayOJO's needs iOS 15.0 or later. If your iPhone can't update that far, you can still use the casino through its mobile website, where spins work the same way. Android requirements weren't shown on the Google Play listings, so check on your device. Our Coral app page includes more about the Entain casino apps.

What happens if my phone loses signal during free spins?

Usually the spin's result has already been decided on the casino's systems, so reopening the game should show it, but the game's own rules on interrupted play apply. Check the help screen in the slot for how unfinished rounds are handled. If a spin or a bonus round seems to have vanished, contact the casino's support team with the time and game name. Our guide on what happens if you close the game during free spins covers similar cases.

Is there autoplay for free spins on mobile?

No. Autoplay has been banned on online slots in Great Britain since 31 October 2021, on phones as well as computers. Each spin, including each free spin, has to be started separately, and there must be at least 2.5 seconds between the start of one spin and the next. Turbo and slam-stop features that speed up results are also banned. The slot game design rules page explains the full set of rules and when each came in.

Are mobile free spins worth less than desktop spins?

No. The value is identical: number of spins × stake, with the slot's RTP setting the long-run average. PlayOJO's 80 spins at 10p are £8 of play, about £7.74 on average at Big Bass Bonanza's published 96.71% RTP. Coral's 100 spins at 10p are £10 of play, about £9.60 at 96%. The device doesn't change the game's maths, only how convenient it is to play. Our free spins value page explains the calculation.

Can I stop free spins texts and app notifications?

Yes. Since 1 May 2025, UK casinos must get your consent for marketing separately for each product and each channel, such as SMS and email, with opting out as the default. You can change your preferences in your account settings, and app notifications can also be turned off in your phone's settings. Operators must also stop marketing to anyone showing strong signs of gambling harm. Our guide to stopping bonus emails shows the steps.

Which partner offer is best for mobile free spins?

It depends on how you play. PlayOJO's 80 spins at 10p need one £10 first deposit and pay any winnings as cash with no wagering. Ladbrokes' up to 500 spins need daily claiming for ten days, which suits someone who opens the app regularly. Coral's 100 spins arrive in one batch after a £10 slots bet. All are for new customers aged 18+, and terms apply. Our comparison of 500 free spins versus 100 free spins looks at the trade-offs.
