From Black Friday to advent calendars: the first festive promotion season under the 2026 bonus rules
Black Friday is on Friday 27 November, Cyber Monday on 30 November, and casino advent calendars usually open on 1 December. It is the first festive season since new promotion rules took effect on 19 January 2026, so seasonal offers will look different from last year. Here is what the rules allow and how to judge any offer that lands in your inbox.

Key points
- Black Friday 2026 is 27 November and Cyber Monday is 30 November; advent calendars typically run 1 to 24 December.
- Since 19 January 2026 wagering on any bonus is capped at 10x.
- A single promotion can no longer mix products, such as a sports bet that unlocks casino spins.
- Daily and time-limited offers are still allowed, but each must have clear terms.
- You can opt out of marketing at any time, and none of our partners has announced a Black Friday offer.

What has changed since last Christmas
| Feature | Christmas 2025 | Christmas 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering on bonus money | No legal cap; 35x and above was common | Capped at 10x |
| Sport and casino in one offer | Allowed | Banned |
| Daily advent-style offers | Allowed | Allowed, each with clear terms |
| Deposit limit prompt | Required before the first deposit from 31 October 2025 | Still required |
Our guides to the 10x wagering cap and the mixed-product ban explain both rules in full.
Judging a Black Friday offer
- Compare it with the standing welcome offer. A “Black Friday” label does not make a bonus better; our Black Friday casino bonus guide shows why a bigger percentage can be worth less.
- Check the maximum win and expiry. See bonus max win and bonus expiry.
- Work out the wagering in pounds with the wagering calculator.
Advent calendars, door by door
Each advent door is a separate promotion with its own trigger, prize and expiry. Add up what the doors ask of you, not just what they give. A month of daily prompts can also nudge you to play more often than you meant to, so set a budget first. Our advent calendar bonus guide and Christmas casino bonus guide go into the details, and you can stop promotional messages at any time; see how to stop bonus emails.
