Stormforged free spins

Stormforged free spins in two senses

When a casino advertises spins, it is paying the stake for a set number of rounds at a fixed value. When Stormforged awards free spins, it is the slot’s own feature, Surtur’s Vengeance, landing during normal play. You can have both at once: a promotional spin can trigger the in-game round. But the value of each comes from different places, so it helps to treat them separately.

What Stormforged free spins are worth per 10p

At the 96.41% RTP version, a 10p spin is worth about 9.64p on average and the house edge is 3.59%. Hacksaw also supplies lower-RTP versions, and the casino decides which one it runs. As an illustration only, if a casino used a version around 94%, the average would fall to about 9.4p per spin.

Those are long-run averages. With a high-volatility game, most bundles land below them and a few land far above. The help screen shows which RTP version you are playing; it is worth a look, as our page on high RTP slots for bonuses explains.

Surtur’s Vengeance: the Stormforged bonus round

Stormforged’s main features are Wild Portals and a free spins round called Surtur’s Vengeance, in which wilds are sticky. A sticky wild stays in place for the rest of the round instead of disappearing after one spin, so each wild that lands can help several later spins. That is why rounds with sticky wilds tend to be where a large share of a slot’s return is concentrated.

For the precise rules (how many spins are awarded, how Wild Portals behave, whether wilds carry multipliers, and whether the round can be extended) read the game’s help screen. Those details can vary between versions, and we only describe what is confirmed.

How to trigger free spins on Stormforged

The round is reached during normal play, and the exact trigger, the number of symbols required and any alternative routes are set out in the help screen. Bonus buys are not available on slots supplied to players in Great Britain, so normal spins, including casino promotional spins, are the only way in. See can free spins trigger the bonus round.

Why sticky wilds make Stormforged spins swing

Stormforged is rated high volatility. In practice, base-game spins often return little, and much of the RTP is delivered through the bonus round. For a 100-spin promotional bundle, that creates a lopsided picture: many bundles never reach the round and return a few pounds; some do and return many times the stake.

We don’t have a verified maximum win figure for Stormforged, so we haven’t quoted one; the game’s help screen states it. Our page on free spins on high volatility slots explores the same pattern on other games.

Stormforged free spins no wagering vs bonus-money spins

Taking the average result of 100 × 10p spins, about £9.64: on a no wagering offer it is paid as cash. If it arrived as bonus funds with 10x wagering, the maximum allowed in the UK since 19 January 2026, you would need to stake £96.40. At a 3.59% house edge that costs about £3.46 on average, leaving around £6.18.

On a high-volatility game the wagering route also has a higher chance of ending at zero before the target is reached. That is why no wagering free spins are simpler to value. Our wagering calculator lets you test other amounts.

Stormforged free spins no deposit offers

Our partners don’t offer no deposit bonuses, and no deposit spins on a specific Hacksaw title are rare at UK casinos. Where they do appear, they are usually 10p spins in small numbers with a cap on winnings. You will still need to verify your age and identity before you can play. Our no deposit bonus codes page explains why codes for these deals are often out of date.

Using a Stormforged bonus from a deposit match

Some players use a deposit match rather than spins. Casumo offers 50% up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20, wagered 10x within 7 days, with a £5 max bet while the bonus is active. A £40 deposit gets a £20 bonus and £200 of wagering, which at a 3.59% house edge costs about £7.18 on average. Game, play and payment restrictions apply, so check whether Stormforged counts before you start. See Casumo eligible games and the Casumo max bet rule.

Under the CMA undertakings, you must be able to withdraw your own deposited money during bonus play, and significant terms must be shown up front. The CMA’s online gambling case page (opens in a new tab) sets out what operators agreed to.
